21.01.2022 You may have heard some people talking about the NDIS recently and phrases like the Participant Service Guarantee or Charter. Last Friday the Government made an important announcement which will change the way you receive and manage your NDIS supports. Heres what you need to know. The Participant Service Guarantee was launched in July and sets out what participants and families can expect from the NDIS. This commitment from the NDIS is based on transparency, responsivenes...s, respect, empowerment, and connectivity. The Guarantee will assist participants to get the quality services they need. Fridays announcement included more info on how the NDIS will put this into action. They released a Participant Service Charter which tells us how they plan to make improvements and when it will happen. In addition a Service Improvement Plan outlines the specific ways they will do it. Its important to know about these changes as they will affect the way people with disability, their families, and carers access and use their supports.
