20.01.2022 Why use organic and natural products is a question often asked..... If you eat burgers and chips for a lifetime then decide to eat an organic apple from the farmers market we all know this is not going to make a huge impact on your health (but it is a great start!) Choosing a more natural, organic lifestyle is not a fad and is something that takes commitment and time. Its like the quick drop a dress size diet compared to the slow shift in lifestyle choices to make you a hea...lthy happier person. Organic, natural products work in the same way. They slowly change the outside while, more importantly, change what’s happening inside your body. Reducing toxins and chemicals benefit both our skin and our livelihood. Remember, its not just what you put ON your skin, its what you put IN your skin!! There are many cosmeceutical companies operating that offer quick fix, amazing skin changing lotions and potions but this is really all they are. There are minimal regulations and guidelines within the cosmetic industry so this leaves us, the consumer, exposed to many dangerous chemicals that we can’t even pronounce, let alone understand. On top of this there is the ethical and moral issues of chemical farming, animal testing and non-recyclable packaging but we can save that for another time! So, to arm you with some basic information (and some ingredients to be aware of) I will upload a weekly post of the top 10 chemicals to avoid in personal care products.
