25.01.2022 My gift to you: The elements I cover in a successful Genuine Position Statement. The 'genuineness of position' test forms the crux of employer sponsored visas. I get approached all the time from people who have had a refusal based on genuine position and I've seen some absolutely shocking efforts out there. So to avoid you a headache, I start with exactly what NOT to do, and then I run through the headings I provide my corporate clients and the instructions I give them in th...e successful 'letter' format. Get your pen and paper ready to write down my successful format and formula. I always provide a Genuine Position Statement for subclass 400, 482, 494, 186DE, and 186TRT visas. Still stuck or are not confident in your efforts? Please don't hesitate to get in contact, this type of work is my most enjoyable and I offer anyone a FREE 15 minute phone consult, just get in contact. Lots more information on Genuine Position on my website too. Presented by Evan Bishop (MARN 1679414), owner of Worldly Migration. #genuineposition #employersponsoredvisa #immigration #migration

25.01.2022 ATTENTION HOSPITALITY AND CLERICAL EMPLOYEES. On the 24th Feb I posted about the changes to over 100 modern awards that was 4 years in the making by the Fair Work Commission. Guess what..........we have more changes! As the era of COVID-19 settles in, sensible changes have been made to the Clerks-Private Sector Award 2010, the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010, and the Restaurant Industry Award 2010. ... I get that not everyone is excited by reading the finer details like I am, but if you are employed under these awards then please read up on the changes and know your rights. Thank-you to the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the great summary. Please share with anyone that may benefit: https://www.victorianchamber.com.au//covid-19-award-change

25.01.2022 Received another great review on Google from one of our clients, Andreas. Thank you!

24.01.2022 My pin today. Not all meetings can I wear an outrageously fun pin, sometimes Worldly Migration needs to rock just a simple world. #pins #lapelpins

24.01.2022 There has never been such an important time to get your visa application right. When filling in forms, very few enjoy doing it, but it is such a vital part of your visa application, especially with some forms still paper-based. Don't risk your visa getting refused due to completing a form wrong, engage in some expert advice today. Far too often the new enquiries I have approach me with the Department questioning why they should grant their visa are those who have lodged it themselves without expert guidance. #migration

22.01.2022 I'm proud to be hosting a free webinar on Wednesday 10th June called Visa Holders in Australia during COVID-19: Visa, Study, & Work options. I've organised some great guest speakers, and we will discuss the visa changes, industry trends from COVID-19, how best to obtain employment, and more. I look forward to... e-meeting you there! https://www.facebook.com/events/1109780086060221/

22.01.2022 Following from the Tasmanian announcement, the Victorian State Government too has now introduced an emergency financial support package for international students in Victoria who are in need. 21.01.2022 In the interest of safety during the due to COVID-19 (corona virus) pandemic, in effect from Monday 23rd March 2020, Worldly Migration is suspending all face-to-face interactions, including consultations, meetings, seminar appearances, and certifying documentation until further notice. It is otherwise business as usual, with the continued encouragement of phone and video conference meetings and consultations.

21.01.2022 If you have a 457 Visa, then you have Mandatory Condition 8107 imposed, which similarly for 482 TSS Visa holders it is Mandatory Condition 8607. These conditions appear simple, but what happens if you have been made redundant by your employer sponsor? A situation made even worse with such high unemployment rate and inability to depart Australia lawfully on the next flight. If you have a 457 or 482 visa, unemployed or not, this short video is certainly worth viewing. Want to... know more? I'm running a FREE WEBINAR on this same topic (457 and 482 visa redundancies) on the 26th August 2020, read more here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/redundancy-on-457-and-482-v I'm posting a new migration and/or recruitment video each week centred on COVID-19, subscribe to my channel to catch them days in advance before my social channels: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDY-sYnoj37GI2L5cf5ljFQ I've also started a LinkedIn Group titled 'Help for visa holders in Australia during COVID-19'. 19.01.2022 An error message from the Department of Home Affairs for any Thailand applicants currently applying for their Work and Holiday Visa, see below: "Applicants from Thailand are currently unable to apply for a subclass 462 application and are seeing an error message that the quotas have been reached. This is a known technical issue, our technical teams are working to allow Thai passport holders to submit an application. You do not need to contact the Department. Please try again later."

17.01.2022 Almost a million workers across Australia have been impacted by COVID-19 in Australia. As most know, our population is home to over seven million people who were born overseas thats nearly 30% of our total population. Due to COVID-19, these international migrants are not only seeking out new roles, but also dealing with the added complexity of holding a valid visa through this period. These are the international migrants we cross paths with every day. The amazing people wh...o have fought hard to remain in Australia, raise a family and contribute to the communities around them. Please join Chris Renwick (MARN 1796725) and I online this Thursday 9th July at 11am for a free webinar where Chris and I will be highlighting some of the potential pathways for both TR (457, 482, 494) and PR (186, 187) visa holders who are facing either a loss of job or have experienced redundancy. This 1 hour presentation will include the following: - Migrant's vs Australian's - The disadvantages and comparisons - Legalities and Visa 457/482/494 Conditions in Redundancies - Redundancy on PR Sponsored Visas 186/187 - Visa Options during COVID-19 - Booming industries and dormant industries - Putting your best foot forward for work - Q&A See you there! https://www.facebook.com/events/271723800724198/ Evan Bishop - MARN 1679414

14.01.2022 Worldly Migration secures result for local Sydney cafe within processing times despite COVID-19. Today, I proudly got a 482 nomination transfer for a Cafe Manager approved within 3 weeks, a great win for the business who can now transfer their valued employee from the previous ownership to under their own payroll, and proceed knowing that they can retain him despite COVID-19 uncertainty in the hospitality sector. Not only is it a win given the scrutiny that small cafe and r...estaurants are facing from the Department of Home Affairs, but to achieve a result within the 6 week processing times (let alone 3 weeks!!!) is a massive outcome when others are facing no movement on their applications for months on end. Click below to find out what additional elements I recommend including for hospitality nomination application during COVID-19: https://www.worldlymigration.com/case-studies/ Are you waiting on your own approval or is your firm wanting to know the key ingredients to boost success? 13.01.2022 The Fair Work Commission has been busy, MORE THAN 100 MODERN AWARDS CHANGING. Don't skip over this. If you employ staff under a modern award, or if you are an employee on a modern award yourself, then it is important to know that as a result of a 4 year review, the Fair Work Commission has begun to roll-out updated awards, the first commencing 4th Feb 2020. For the 30 modern awards already changed on or just after 4th Feb 2020, if your pay week is from Monday to Sunday, the ...new awards take effect from Monday 10 February 2020. Another 70+ awards are soon to be changed, you can view the full list below. This is of most importance for employers, but in my opinion also important for employees to read up on any key changes that may have occurred. I believe you should always have a keen interest in your rights and conditions, no one is going to do this for you. Share this with your network if it's useful to anyone you know. https://www.fairwork.gov.au//awa/changes-to-awards-in-2020

11.01.2022 Mindset is key, and is the motivator for me to kick off this first video in my new COVID-19 series. 11.01.2022 This is literally the ONLY web page you should be reading about COVID-19 travel restrictions if you are a visa holder or looking to come to Australia. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au//current-/novel-coronavirus Don't be a muppet and trust everything you read on Facebook, it is insidious at the moment with misinformation, including a highly-regarded and reputed commercial network. Changes are occurring daily, let this page on the Department of Home Affairs website be your first and last point of information and, above all, be safe.

07.01.2022 All is quiet on social media from Worldly Migration at the moment, but trust me, I've been busier than ever behind the scenes! With an inability to depart Australia yet still needing to fit within the visa framework to remain lawful and adhere to visa conditions, it has been hectic having to assist clients with variables such as English Language testing centre closures, consulate closures, inability for fingerprint scans, etc, as well as visa holders without work and lack of... options due to COVID-19. I pride myself on helping as many people where possible, so please, if you know anyone on a temporary visa who would benefit from a free second opinion, please get them to get in contact with me. Not just limited to visa advice and not just limited to migrants, but anyone out of work at the moment, please send me a word doc version of your CV and cover-letter and I am happy to look through it and give you suggestions for improvement and where best to focus your job hunting efforts based on your sector. This offer is extends to everyone. As I always conclude in my presentations: Sometimes the right conversation with the right person at the right time can change a life. #migration #worldlymigration #freeadvice #job #migrate #freeimmigrationadvice #covid19 #coronavirus #economy

07.01.2022 Last night Worldly Migration and Recruitment Consultancy (Evan Bishop) and Wickham Lawyers (Vikas Jain) proudly hosted an Employer Sponsor Visa brainstorming session for the brightest minds of lawyers and migration agents in Melbourne. Thank-you for all who attended and took the time to listen and learn, it was a privilege to present.

07.01.2022 The global pandemic has implications on the Australia visa framework causing impracticalities. 06.01.2022 How often do you come up with a great idea, but you are apprehensive to start? Is it uncertainty holding you back, or perhaps fear of imperfection? I've got good news, you don't need to be perfect the first time. You just need to start. ... But you'll never learn if you never spread your wings and start flapping. Use this time, this moment right here and now, to tell yourself that today is the day to start. For myself, I wanted to create a motivational quote this week and create this graphic for it, and I'm glad I did!

06.01.2022 Been keeping this for months now but can now finally announce: Worldly Migration proudly sponsoring and supporting the publication of Ambulance Active for the Dandenong Ranges paramedics, the real heroes of my region. As mentioned in November with my sponsorship for PCYC, I help families all around the world so now I'm also focusing more on giving back locally. If you know a paramedic, send them a message and tell them they are doing a good job. #ambulance #paramedic #emergencyservices

05.01.2022 Hi Friends! If youre still not sure whether getting a MARA agent to process your visa applications will improve your chances of getting approved, I hope this data will convince you to go for it!
