14.01.2022 Today is Vietnam Veteran’s Day, a day we honour Vietnam Veterans and remember their sacrifices in what was Australia's longest military involvement in a war. The Vietnam War was Australia's longest military engagement of the 20th century. Almost 60,000 Australians fought in the war and more than 500 lost their lives. This year marks the 53rd anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, where 108 brave young men from D Company 6RAR resisted an attack of 1,500-2,500 North Vietnamese ...and Viet Cong troops. It would become one of the most extraordinary chapters in Australia's military history. Thank you for your Service
