10.01.2022 Vale: Ray Scott The whole World Series Sprintcars family is saddened by the passing of much loved and respected Sprintcar team owner, Ray Scott. We were all privileged to witness Ray’s first World Series win as a team owner last season in front of his home crowd, after teaming up with Brooke Tatnell in the Ray Scott Transport #V55 to take victory at Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway on December 28, 2019. ... One of the most heartwarming moments of the tour was watching Ray as he moved as quickly as he could to the infield to embrace his driver in a true overflow of emotion and jubilation... an image that is deeply etched into the hearts and minds of every witness. As Brooke stated in his post-race interview, This win couldn’t have happened at a better place for the Ray Scott team in their hometown. This is their first World Series win and I’m rapt to have been able to get it for them especially here at Mount Gambier. Ray was a big fan of my dad and he’s all about family, so to do this with my family here for family-based team is just awesome. We, along with all speedway fans, are grateful for Ray’s amazing contribution to the sport, and we know that he will never be forgotten. On behalf of everyone at World Series Sprintcars and Speedway Australia, we offer our condolences to Ray’s family and friends at this time.

07.01.2022 WORLD SERIES SPRINTCARS UPDATE These are difficult times for the Australian community, and similarly the speedway industry is experiencing an unprecedented level of uncertainty in some parts of the country. World Series Sprintcars was designed to showcase the sport by traversing across the continent and is therefore reliant on being able to bring together the best competitors and teams from around the country, and the other side of the planet. If ever there was a season where... achieving that goal was to be a challenge, then 2020/21 is it. Speedway Australia remains committed to hosting the series next summer, and there are fans, sponsors, tracks and competitors lining up to be a part of it. But the purpose of this message is to provide guidance on our timelines for a decision on the series, as there are suppliers and participants who need adequate lead time in order to commit their time and expenditure to the series. Usually at this time of year we’re in the process of locking down teams and tracks via contractual arrangements, but this year we’re in the midst of a different kind of lock-down, which is due to be reviewed in Victoria on September 13. If there’s significant improvement there in the next month, then there’s a chance that things could be moving forward nationally in the weeks and months after that. So we’re holding off on a decision about the previously published calendar until September 14, and will also consider various other options in the interim. What does this mean? Well we won’t be seeking signatures or deposits from tracks and teams, but we will be monitoring the situation carefully and reassessing in the days leading up to September 13. So please bear with us, and stand by for more information after our next Board video call. In the meantime, please stay safe and adhere to all government requirements so we can get through this as soon as possible.

04.01.2022 JOINT MEDIA RELEASE: SPRINTCAR SUPER SEVEN SERIES Whilst uncertainties around interstate travel left series organizers with no option but to cancel the 2020/2021 World Series Sprintcar Championship, the recent easing of restrictions with more expected in the days ahead has enabled Speedway Australia to join forces with track operators in Queensland and New South Wales to present the Super Seven Series to be staged across four venues over 14 days. The tournament will kick off ...at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedwayon Saturday, January 2, with Archerfield Speedway to host round two just 24 hours later on January 3. Teams will head north to Maryborough Speedway for round three for a Tuesday night show on January 5 and then return to Archerfield for a two-night fixture on January 8 and 9. A trip across the border to Lismore Speedway in northern New South Wales for round five on Tuesday, January 12 will be followed by the series finale back in Toowoomba on January 16. The series has been developed as a substitute for the traditional World Series events that would ordinarily be scheduled for the region at this time of the season and there will be two similar tournaments staged in Western Australia and South Australia/Victoria, the details of which will be announced soon. With the exception of round four at Archerfield which will carry a $10 000 first prize, all rounds will pay $5000 to the winner of the feature race, with Speedway Australia General Manager Tim Savell confirming a $20,000 series points fund. In the absence of World Series Sprintcars this summer, we urge everyone to make the best of the situation by getting involved in these regional initiatives over the holiday period. We’re delighted to be able to support teams and tracks by sponsoring a points fund for these Sprintcar events. Whilst World of Outlaws star Donny Schatz will be unable to take part in the series due to ongoing restrictions on international travel, it is expected that the lack of racing so far this season in southern states will ensure an influx of competitors desperate to get their season underway. More information about the series and individual events will be released soon. 2021 Super Seven Sprintcar Series Schedule January 2 Toowoomba January 3 Archerfield January 5 Maryborough January 8/9 Archerfield January 12 Lismore* January 16 - Toowoomba * Lismore is subject to crowd restrictions being lifted by NSW Health.

03.01.2022 WORLD SERIES SPRINTCARS CANCELLED COVID-19’s latest casualty is World Series Sprintcars, with the 2020/21 series cancelled due to the ongoing uncertainty affecting the entire country. With no timeframe in place for the opening of the West Australian border, Victoria’s timelines for staging public events in December being uncertain, and Queensland reviewing their border position in December, it’s impossible for organisers, teams and suppliers to be able to plan and commit to ...a national tour such as World Series Sprintcars. We’d particularly like to thank the teams and tracks that had committed to running the 2020/21 series, especially the two new venues who were coming on board in Whyalla Speedway Club Inc. and Geraldton City Speedway. They’ll do a great job of hosting World Series Sprintcars when they eventually get the chance. We know that tracks, teams and fans are hoping for some good news, and we hope to be back with a vengeance in 2021/22. In the meantime, when regions and states begin to open back up we urge all competitors and fans to get behind their local tracks and enjoy regional racing when the opportunity arises. Planning for the 2021/22 series will commence in November, by which time there will hopefully be some light at the end of the tunnel.
