03.01.2022 Happy Melbourne Cup Day! Today is a good time to start thinking about plans for your worms as the weather gets warmer. Thanks for the photo and nice demonstration @shehuntsopshops Just a few tips here: 1. FEEDING AMOUNT- should match the eating capacity of worms, which can vary with each worm farm and worm population. Avoid leaving wet food pile up on top of the bedding. Try to help the worms access their food by chopping it up and aerating well with plenty of paper or othe...r carbon matter. Reduce feeding before and during heat waves. 2. POSITION- make sure your worm farm is in a sheltered place with full shade, especially during summer, as direct sun could cause a sudden rise in the temperature inside the bin. Make sure you monitor the bedding temperature with a thermometer (30) and take action if the temperature inside the bin goes higher than this. 3.
