23.01.2022 Throwback to the time the Worthy Parts boys were on the news! This time last year some of our sales team and managing director Michael Worthington got a gig on Channel 9 News Perth, thanks to a story by Tracy Vo on the Mining Legends project! Its been a tough year for many due to all of the restrictions and uncertainty that Covid has unleashed upon us. Without knowing what was in store for the world in 2020, it makes us more grateful that this project took place in 2019. The... funding raised has meant so much more to so many who have found themselves in need of additional support due to the impacts of Covid. 23.01.2022 WORKSHOP LEADING HAND Worthy Parts is looking for an experienced Workshop Leading Hand to join our team! - Fantastic local opportunity to work in town! - Full-time position with immediate start - Excellent team culture... - Company car and mobile phone provided Based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will take ownership of the daily operation of our busy workshop. This vital role is responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to a team of trades assistant and apprentice staff. You will be an extremely detailed and results oriented individual who loves promoting efficiency, communication, organising and following tasks through to completion. This position is hands on and the successful candidate must be a trade qualified Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. This role will include (but not limited to): Leading, supervising and motivation and training of the Workshop team Prioritise and schedule all works Ensure all works are completed in a timely efficient manner, documented accurately, to required specifications in the most cost-effective ways Effectively communicate to customers (both internal and external) works progression and immediately address any issues/concerns as they arise Be able to self-manage your project deliverables and identify when clarification is needed to achieve the best outcome Ensuring all machinery and equipment are well maintained in accordance with regulations and/or user manuals Maintain and be accountable for a clean and well-organized workshop Foster and promote a safe workplace by knowing all relevant safety procedures and policies, coaching, mentoring the Workshop team on safe workplace methods Assist in promoting a team environment and mentoring apprentices Suitable candidates must have: A trade qualification (Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic) 5+ years industry experience Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and lead a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level organisational and time management skills Basic knowledge of computer software including Microsoft packages and Email Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment - adaptability to change essential Current Drivers’ licence to drive a manual vehicle. 21.01.2022 The missing vehicle that was posted recently has been found. We live in such a good community where there have been lots of messages, comments, tags and calls with information or offering CCTV footage. Thanks to those who helped assist with info. Police were out to examine the scene and give the go ahead to move the vehicle.
