24.01.2022 Bowls community free bbq was last Saturday evening. Few enjoyed game of casual bowls before bbq. Followed by some novelty prize winning games...other hand diagonal bowling, Leo claiming winner after some serious challengers! Limbo game caused few laughs, and sore backs....ended 3 way tie , James,Liz, Sarah. Thankyou to all who came to make an enjoyable evening. AGM Tuesday 10th at 7.30pm...... All welcome.

22.01.2022 Wowan club members had a meeting this week. Club plans to still host our 2020 Community Bowls Challenge from late July. Advise to public and past teams of any further plans as soon as decided. Will not be holding any other official member bowls days this year.Stay safe. Wowan bowls club

07.01.2022 BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO FINAL WINNERS OF COMMUNITY CHALLENGE 2021..SPORTS NO.1 TEAM..(Mark..James..Amanda..Lindley) Great effort! Brian was disappointed he could not be there on final night...but pleased to hear of good rollup and enjoyable competition. Thanks to all for their participation and good sportsmanship.

05.01.2022 Eddie an Isaac Everrs at Diggers Saturday game....good practice as both boys and Tommy Brown are off to Toowoomba State Championships next week. The Everrs brothers attended last year at the Gold Coast, making their presence felt . Good luck this year boys...GO WOWAN!

05.01.2022 The three country kids put up a good battle at the Toowoomba State Championships. They played under 18 and under 15 stiff competition....with Eddie losing his game by only 3 pts...21-18...congratulations to all three for "having a go" and enjoying the games. Wowan club is proud of the three of you, and all the young ones who play so well at our Club.

01.01.2022 Bowls club will start Community bowls challenge 2020 in late March/early April. Date to be confirmed. Due to drought commitments and bowls green recovery, the Challenge had to be postponed this year. Club looks forward to another friendly enthusiastic Challenge.
