16.01.2022 The Paint Ya Pole Project is an initiative of the City of PAE during COVID Social Distancing and will run from 11 May to 11 July 2020. The aim is to simplify so...me of the approval processes and supply paint, equipment and support to residents who apply to place art work on the stobie pole in front of their house. 11.01.2022 The future submarine and continuous shipbuilding programs are establishing themselves for the long term on the Lefevre Peninsula north of Adelaide, with the Cit...y of PAE at the heart of shipbuilding and Defence in Australia. Naval Group Australia is at the centre of the $90 billion Future Submarine Program, and they are putting the finishing touches to a new $25 million HQ near Harts Mill in the old TAFE SA campus. Last week they welcomed Andra Easton as their 250th employees in Australia, with the total workforce expected to top 1,700 by 2028. City of PAE Mayor Claire Boan said Naval basing its HQ at the Port is fantastic for not only the local region but the state as a whole. Its one of those spaces thats just been waiting to be reawakened, and we see this as a really great opportunity, she said. There are also new hotels which will be finished in the next couple of years. Add to that the new housing developments around the waterfront, Council placemaking projects to bring the area to life, and a newly refurbished McLaren Parade which we will be constructing soon, and the Port really is coming alive. Coupled with the newly expanded Osborne Naval Shipyard, the City of PAE is working closely with different levels of government right through to local businesses both here and in France, to ensure that our local economy makes the most of the incredible opportunities for business, education, employment and infrastructure. To learn how you can take advantage of opportunities have a chat with our Economic Development Team on 8405 6600. Defence SA Naval Group ASC

08.01.2022 Sadly we have had two middle aged women steal some 20 plants including an established olive tree from our memorial garden. This is no where near acceptable beha...viour in any world. This garden has been made possible by the kindness and dedication of local Veterans their families, members of the local community, DVA, PAEC, Veterans SA, Bunnings Warehouse, and the Drummond Family. Not only do despicable acts like this make a mockery of the freedoms that our descendants past and present fought for, it also means that every plant we have to replace is money (that we DO NOT have) that will not be spent on the welfare of our Veterans and their families, our members and th wider community of the Lefevre Peninsula. We would ask PLEASE if anyone of our neighbours and friends who love this garden and what we are doing for the community, see any suspicious behaviour report it immediately to the police. On a side note you have been filmed on CCTV surveillance footage and are fully identifiable.
