23.01.2022 The Revolutionary WOW Saddle Gauge is the ideal tool for saddle owners maintaining their fittings through the year. In stock now and ready for dispatch. http://www.wowsaddles.com/products/saddle-gauge/

23.01.2022 Janine Burns posted this some time ago but it’s still good! Answers a lot of questions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXK486qJynM&feature=share

23.01.2022 Our ability to build a saddle from the horse up to also suit a rider was something that gave client Fenella Dunstone her WOW factor! And then her horse delivered with a softer back for bigger looser paces and freedom of movement. She tells us: In Spring 2020 I was looking for a saddle for my 10-year-old warmblood Romy. ... What I thought would be an easy search turned out to be a lot harder, until I tried a WOW. The adjustability of the Wow turned a would-be arduous process into a half-hour triumph and WOW! a saddle that fits. Right from the first ride, Romy took to the saddle. He loves the panels, both the FLAIR system and the fact that it allows more room for his shoulders. Within the first week, Romy became freer in the shoulders and in the months since he has started swinging through in his back. The WOW saddle has unlocked his potential and he has improved out-of-sight. My only regret is I did not get a WOW earlier. Thank you WOW! Our pleasure Fenella. #kiahequine #wowsaddlesaustralia #buyjustonesaddle

20.01.2022 This popped up in memories from March 2016.....the fabulous Contiki (rtd) and his partner Amy Anderson. We first met Amy as a young teen and as she grew and the (already long) legs got longer we rebalanced and readjusted her saddle to suit. Together Amy and Tiki competed very successfully at Dressage, Pony Club, Interschools and Open Agricultural and Royal Shows. They were a pleasure to watch always and a delight to assist.... #wowsaddlesaustralia #buyjustonesaddle #kiahequine #wowsaddlesaustralia

18.01.2022 Our own homebred Alamein (Arabian Stockhorse & ANSA) has been well started under saddle by Paul Davidson from Camelot ANSA & Stockhorses. Fire and flood that has marked the start of 2020 meant Alamein (Elliot) really jumped in at the deep end with first show under saddle at Gunning NSW then taking ribbons at Canberra Royal Show two days later. While bred for temperament, he is a good looking boy producing lovely movement as well, and his WOW Classique Saddle is certainly he...lping his young healthy back and maintaining his free open shoulder. So often were told by people they will wait for a young horse to stop growing before they invest in a good saddle - we say tosh and nonsense. Give a young horse a saddle that is well fitted allowing them to move correctly with a stable balanced rider, and one that then adapts to their changing shapes as they progress developmentally and seasonally through the subsequent years to follow. We have many clients who have done just this including one of our earliest customers in Australia who purchased her saddle for a then 3yo Friesian colt. When he tragically passed away, at the age of 13 in an unrelated occurrence, he had had that one saddle all his working life with a saddle fit checkup just once a year, each year. This is one of the reasons we say Buy Just One Saddle - youll have it for Life, were here for the long game. #wowsaddlesaustralia #kiahequine #buyjustonesaddle #wowsaddleswinning

14.01.2022 No. 7 in our series on unique features of WOW Saddles. Stirrup bars. No, we know having stirrup bars is not unique. But WOWs have always had a choice of two pos...itions on every saddle, and from 2008, an option of a third position which became a standard element from 2014. Whats the benefit of stirrup bar choices? They allow you to select the stirrup position that best suits your own leg geometry - overall leg length, and relative upper/lower leg length - and to suit your horse and activity. Many choose the forward bar for jumping, or when riding a young horse, while switching to the back bar for flatwork on an established ride. But there is no right or wrong position; its whatever is best for you. For some dressage riders, the third position, where one long leather is threaded through between seat and panels behind the line of the existing stirrup bars and secured with a central bolt, gives them a very effective deep seat. (Note that safety stirrups are essential with this arrangement). Another positive of WOWs stirrup bars is that the way they are fixed to the Pointless Panel System (see post on 7thJune) means they will not create pressure holes in wool flocking the way ordinary stirrup bars can. Is there a downside? Well, we have been called out to do a major refit because a saddle was said to be twisted. It wasnt - one stirrup had been put on the forward bar, one on the back. So a very easy fix: put both the stirrups on the same pair of bars! See more

11.01.2022 Long time client Debbie Dixon and her Warmblood Horse Summer Solstice (Byalee Briar/Bjorsells Briar) started poles and cavilletti by way of mixing up the work for 4yo Soli....but the fences started to look a bit serious and Debbie was still in her WOW Dressage saddle so we needed to find a jump one. The WOW Classique Jump proved just the ticket offering the same superior fit and improved jump position for the rider but we dont have a pic just yet....hint, hint....

10.01.2022 Might have been 7 years ago but its still true.

10.01.2022 Long time client, and multiple WOW Owner, Michelle Styles took her Welsh Team to the Hawkesbury Show on the weekend recording excellent results for her boys Nawarrah Park Time Traveller excelling in the Section D Led and Ridden and Nawarrah Park Poptastic likewise in the Section C. Michelle reports’Poppy’ and ‘Marty’ at Hawkesbury Show competed for Harrison John Whitby Supreme Led Welsh Exhibit and the Harrison John Whitby - Barrels & Ashes Champion Ridden Welsh Exhibit . Wit...h Marty (Nawarrah Park Time Traveller) and Poppy (aka Nawarrah Park Poptastic) winning Champion Geldings respectively, they both made it into a high quality line-up up Welsh A, B, C & D Welsh Ponies against the Stallions and Mares just missing out on Supreme Led Welsh Exhibit to Nawarrah Park Duchess. Poppy then won his Sec C Ridden Welsh with Marty winning his Sec D Ridden Welsh. Both boys worked the house down with my little Poppy (Nawarrah Park Poptastic) being awarded the Harrison John Whitby - Barrels & Ashes Champion Ridden Welsh Exhibit under U.K - NSW Welsh Panel Judge Trevor Brand Great results all round - Charlotte Fouracre as pilot and Alice Styles for helping to get them both into the ring. Photo credit to Glenys Lilley of Foxwood Photography for the beautiful photos Michelle uses WOW Competitors on all her horses which are customised to suit both horse and rider. She particularly likes how the saddles have adapted to her young horses as they’ve developed and changed assisting in the creation of strong supple backs for happy work. Michelle also knows that these saddles will continue to change and fit year in, year out, meaning she will not need to purchase another saddle for that horse in its working life. She tells us these WOWs are the best thing I’ve ever put on a horse’s back. #kiahequine #wowsaddlesaustralia #wowsaddleswinning #buyjustonesaddle

10.01.2022 This is fantastic. Client Chloe Carruthers and her BIG 17hh+ Andalusian cross Tiger had their first 1* outing at Camden braving the elements.. I think the big smile says it all! Tiger was not an easy one to fit - made me work for that - and its just brilliant to see them going so well - balanced and happy. #kiahequine #wowsaddlesaustralia

09.01.2022 With restrictions on movement and work in many areas, some of our fitters are unable to support all their clients as they would in normal times. So this week we...'re publishing a series of videos and information on ways to assess and adjust your saddle fit. This first video shows how our unique saddle gauge replicates the fit of all WOW Saddles, making it easy to select the correct tree, panels and headplate for your horse's comfort and optimal performance. 09.01.2022 When we met Harry. What a guy! Harry is a Fjord pony 13.2 or thereabouts. Quite specific in his saddle fitting: very little curvature in the profile of his spine, very high set shoulders, expansive barrel.... As usual we start with an initial assessment and fitting and then refine it until we find what works for both horse and rider. I happened to have on hand that rare animal - a second hand WOW. A change or two and off Harry went. As we worked through the fitting Harrys owner Leigh was able to provide positive constructive feedback - the more we tweaked her position the better Harry went, the better she felt. We take our time with a saddle fit. It is absolutely necessary to work a horse through the warm up process and all paces to see how the saddle is performing for horse and rider then make the changes required as we go along. Often the challenge for a saddle fitter is once having provided a saddle for a horse that allows it to move in a new and better way is that the horse then changes shape rapidly. As a result the saddle will need to be refitted - usually with your WOW it means just a quick rebalance, occasionally a change of head plate. Takes minutes. #wowsaddlesaustralia #kiahequine #wowsaddleswinning #buyjustonesaddle

09.01.2022 Our client Ann-Maree Lourey has ridden for many years in WOW Dressage saddles on her stallions. A long time Palomino enthusiast she has in recent years become charmed by the Spanish horse - ticking all the boxes with this newly imported 3yo colt. She came to us because she knows all too well the benefits and advantages of the Flair Flocking System in the WoW Saddles and was not to be persuaded otherwise. Ann-Marie has been set up here in a WOW Stock Seat and Stock Flap as a demo by our fitter in the Hunter Valley Natalie James and Ann-Marie loves it. She wanted security and comfort fir herself and the horse and it seems we met the job description.....

08.01.2022 Observing appropriate measures when dealing with clients.

07.01.2022 We took a sneaky peek over the fence at new client and convert in her WOW saddle whilst in a training session with her coach. Lee Muir is of above average height, well over 6’ tall, so we customised the flap to include a 1 extra length. The ability to adjust the position of the flap to accommodate the leg shape means no compromise on seat size for the longer legged rider.... Her lovely big horse Davinci has responded well since being supplied with a demo and now has his own - fitted to both horse and rider. Thank you to Brisbane WOW rep Dr Chris Wain for your input and assistance getting this just right. #kiahequine #wowsaddlesaustralia #buyjustonesaddle

06.01.2022 We love watching our clients do what they love and we love helping them do it. We first met Devine and Adrian a bit over a year ago when she was coming out of a rehab period after a significant injury. Possessing a base narrow very high and long wither we used a few WOW tricks to fit her for an Edge Dressage saddle. Adrian credits her saddlefit for her renewed strength, improved muscle development and balance with comfort and confidence in her work. He was so impressed that ...we then sought out a matching jump saddle. Adrian also chooses the WOW H Girth for comfort and stability. The proof is in the pudding as they say and this weekend at their first outing won their EVA60 in finishing on their very impressive dressage score of 21.9 penalties. Clearly on track to move up thru the grades. We look forward to watching their progress #kiahequine #wowsaddleswinning #wowsaddlesaustralia #buyjustonesaddle @mataviaperformancehorses #mataviaph #spenlolane #hanoverianhorse See more

05.01.2022 Why Flair, the superior fitting system? Why Flair the air flocking system? While the principle function of Flair is to balance the saddle, exactly as wool or other packing substances would, it has added bonuses in providing pressure point dispersal, absorption of concussion between the back and the rider as well as the convenience of the immediacy in the changes to fittings - no stitching, no packing, no thumping - adjusted with ease as frequently or INFREQUENTLY as the horse... requires. Contact WOW Saddles Australia to trial it for yourself. #wowsaddlesaustrlia #kiahequine #wowsaddleswinning https://www.instagram.com/p/B--A8WMjJgc/

04.01.2022 For a very lucky client in Australia!

03.01.2022 We apologise all our clients awaiting the arrival of their beautiful custom saddles. The current world climate or situation has meant it has actually been difficult to get flights for our shipments, lockdown in the UK - the call them furloughs which sounds more gentle - thus the delay in getting your orders to you. Limited flights has meant a higher price for freight but Kiah Equine will be bearing the extra cost. We hope to have you current orders to you in the next week or so. Thank you for bearing with us.....these are regrettable and difficult times.
