24.01.2022 I can't wait to see all of my Families and new faces too in Term 4 which starts next week - week commencing 12th October. We have a fabulous term planned and our special Christmas classes are coming too - more details to come but save the dates 12th & 13th Dec. Term 4 runs for 9 weeks and I will see you all very soon!... Romi x

Our leaves are a new addition and we are working on getting them a tree Our play areas facilitate learning, from increasing oral language, providing chances to experiment, increase new skills, give opportunities for problem solving and decision making. We are active learners from birth! Our play area also changes every week.

10.01.2022 We start back in only a few days! Typically we get a flurry of last minute bookings however also get disappointment when there are no spaces left, so here is our update for you of what classes are running and which ones are full or close to. If you are on a wait list we strongly recommend choosing another day and time so you don't miss out all together. If you have any questions please let us know, everyone who has booked will get an email on Sunday night with some additional information.

10.01.2022 *Christmas Classes* We are fast approaching the end of the year and we absolutely can't wait to wrap it up with our Christmas Specials! They really are the highlight of the year and after 2020 well we need as much festive cheer as we can get! Bookings are open now for both babies and toddlers on our website, we are running the 12th and 13th December.... We can't wait to see your dressed up and welcome you into our magical Christmas grotto!

10.01.2022 It’s Boogie Woogie week for our Toddlers We’re making music, singing, dancing and having lots of fun with Tod!

10.01.2022 Our Toddler Sense classes focus on social, emotional and physical development and have two large components - free play in our adventure area and sensory input ...through more structured activities. This combination means your child gets the best of both worlds with the chance to run, jump, balance, climb, roll, explore, take risks, move things around, be loud and play entirely with no objectives in our Adventure Play area. Followed by our sensory activities which are full of music, instruments, light shows, story telling, imagination, role play, bubbles, dance, parachutes, balloons, team activities, messy play, craft and much more - every week is different! The little (or really big) skills your toddler is learning each week are things such as: greeting hello and saying goodbye, meeting new people, making friends, learning boundaries of both themselves and others, testing their physical strength, size and capabilities, challenging themselves with new experiences (anyone remember their toddler when they first started?!), taking turns, looking out for others, listening, following instructions, sitting (even if for short periods!), settling into new environments, working in groups, memory recall, developing speech and language, fine and gross motor skills, co-ordination, spatial awareness, tidying up belongings and so much more! All of these skills are helping your toddler develop the tools needed not only for kindy but life. Everything we do has a developmental reason behind it but they are also so much fun!

07.01.2022 Let's talk about Kindy! Do you wonder what your child needs to know before they attend? Maybe writing their name, recognising letters, numbers, basic additions ...and subtractions? Nope. They don't *need* to know anything before they start. Really, everything we mentioned above comes together beautifully during kindy and reception when it's age appropriate. Of course, there are ways you can prepare them BUT it all revolves around two critical things: PLAY and SENSORY INPUT. When our children play they are learning & gaining so many vital skills, naturally. These include but are not limited to: taking turns/ sharing ideas/ gross motor skills/ fine motor skills/ risk assessing/ testing theories/ making up stories & games/ using imagination/ exploring things that interest them/ gravity/ co-ordination/ depth perception/ speech & language development... honestly the list goes on. In regards to sensory input this is absolutely vital to brain development and will help with: balance/ co-ordination/ emotional regulation/ listening/ sitting still/ following instructions/ being able to multi-task/ enhanced motor planning (how we plan & remember to perform the steps to make a movement happen)/ increased functional ability in everyday life! But we know you'd like to know how to give your child the opportunity to put all of the above into action. Coming to our classes covers all of the above! We introduce morning routines, social greetings, mat time and more to help your child become familiar with some of the components of kindy and gain pre-kindy skills. We are more than happy to suggest more activities and ideas that you can do too so they have a rich variety of experiences. Social, emotional and physical development are the main elements of Toddler Sense and provide your child with amazing opportunities to play more and receive the sensory input needed to organise that brain and body! These are the foundations... and the rest will come.

02.01.2022 One thing we have done during this time is to increase our knowledge base so myself, Kelly and Sari got together for this 3 hour webinar all about children's play. It helped to reinforce the knowledge we do have and also gave us some great new ideas too! Learning is never ending and the more we can learn the more we can give to our Families when they attend
