11.01.2022 Mental Health Storytelling event This information evening is an opportunity to learn more about the Mental Health Storytelling Event Scheduled for Mental Health Month in October. As advocates of mental health awareness and the power of storytelling, our aims for this event are:... To help share personal stories of struggle/strength/support from those who are or have experienced a mental health journey and the friends, family and professionals who have shared their journeys with them. To help raise awareness of mental health, help end the stigma that exists around mental health and help grow a supportive local mental health community. Create a new narrative around mental health that gives a more accurate picture of mental health in our society. To create an event that is inclusive and diverse to reflect the true nature of our region. Share the Journey is an opportunity for you to share your story at a live storytelling event or give others support. Through sharing your stories, encouraging open and honest dialogues around mental health and highlighting the value of your support team, we hope, to give a more accurate experience of how mental health can best be generated for community by community. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/mental-health-story-tel/amp
