25.01.2022 Wednesday again, 59 calls tonight for the Jackpot, see you later on!
24.01.2022 We had a meeting with Council regarding the Community Centre today. It was mainly about a few changes happing with the centre management structure, nothing really affecting us, however with regards to when the 20 person cap is going to be lifted, they don’t know and our guess is as good as theirs. It will depend on when the state government lifts this particular restriction for Community Centres. They assured us they are reviewing this daily and will let’s us all know when it... looks like being lifted. Obviously the October Marathon has been cancelled and next one we are hoping for is Easter long weekend 2021. In the meantime we will continue with our Wednesday night session at Ettalong Diggers. We have been getting around 68 people (normally sats we get around 140) and currently offering the absolute maximum prize money (as we always do) we are allowed by law based on 2 weeks sales. 51 cash games - 32 x $50, 8 x $100, 1 x150, 9 x $100 then $500 jackpot. This session has been put on by special request as you all told us that you have missed it. I really appreciate if you could continue to come along and please try and bring a few extras so we can try and increase the prizes a bit in coming weeks.
19.01.2022 I would like your thoughts on the following please: One of the alternate venues we have been in touch with regarding hosting our bingo temporarily has given us another option. They can’t host us Saturdays due to current limitations on capacity, however they are offering us Monday or Wednesday nights temporarily until such time as we can go back to the Community Centre on Saturday nights.... We can use the ballroom at Ettalong Diggers which is currently not being used and has enough capacity for all of us. I would suggest the Wednesday night would possibly work better than Monday, we could still run 50 games same as usual 7.30pm start and work out the prizes on the night. Please let me know your thoughts. Regards Rob.
18.01.2022 Don’t forget Tuesday nights are starting from tommorow night at Everglades Country Club! It’s a very affordable session, only $10 for a set of 6 tickets.
17.01.2022 We moved all the equipment today and test ran everything at Ettalong Diggers, will be a great temporary home with the caller on main stage and ticket selling area next to the main stage. Looking forward to tommorow night! A couple of things: 1. The best smoking area to use is the pokie room as only 8 can go out onto the other area on verandah during breaks. 2. Children are welcome to play, but must remain accompanied at all times, prizes will be given to accompanying adult. ...Children not to buy tickets and claim break open prizes, accompanying adult to do this. 3. Tables are set up in tables of 4 and some tables of 8, please dont rearrange furniture as it has been setup to comply with current restrictions. There is plenty of room and plenty of tables set up so everyone can spread out. 4. Doors will open to our room at 5pm, selling 6.30pm, start 7.30pm from tommorrow 15th September. 5. If you want to order dinner, please pre book so they can roster enough staff to meet demand. 6. Format and cost will be same as normal Saturday night, we will have Break Open tickets, however we will need to confirm prize money after selling finishes at 7.30pm as it is a separate session to the normal Saturday. See you there!
16.01.2022 Don’t forget we are also on Tuesday nights at Everglades, 7.30pm. 23 cash games and a set of 6 is only $10. Pets and paper available. See you later on!
15.01.2022 The Tuesday night session which was meant to start this week at Everglades has also been postponed, we will let you know on here when restrictions begin to be lifted enough to start up again. We really have to sit tight for a little while until things get back on track with the Coronavirus and restrictions can be lifted. Keep safe and look forward to starting back in the coming months.
14.01.2022 Here’s the latest as of end August 2020. I was in touch with the community centre yesterday and current NSW rules are still max 20ppl in any activity in community centres or halls, this restriction hasn’t been lifted yet. I also contacted a few alternative venues regarding temporary hosting, however they can’t take the risk until restrictions are lifted. I understand everyone’s keen to get going again (including us ) however we will need to sit tight until we receive furth...er advice from the government. On a positive note fair trading has lifted some of the bingo rules for NSW so when we do start back we can improve things a bit. Regards Rob :)
12.01.2022 Don’t forget we are on at our temporary home Ettalong Diggers tonight from 7.30pm. Doors open 5pm. See you later on!
12.01.2022 We have been chasing up work around options at the community centre, however at this point in time, central coast council don’t want any ongoing activity in the community centre with more than 20ppl participating. We will update in coming weeks if these restrictions can be lifted. In the meantime, make the most of this time off to have a rest on Saturday nights for a while, when we do come back we will be really keen to get into it again. Regards Rob.
11.01.2022 Nice little mention in the latest Peninsula News on page 4. Thanks for that Central Coast Newspapers any promotion of our session is much appreciated. Link below. https://coastcommunitynews.com.au/peninsula-news-issuu-la/
10.01.2022 I have been in contact with the community centre and it appears this cap on max 20ppl per activity restriction may not be lifted anytime soon, depends on NSW government lifting restrictions. We met with Ettalong Diggers this morning and the ballroom is more than suitable for us to hold our session. I appreciate all your comments and feedback on the earlier post and looks like everyone’s keen on this opportunity, and on a Wednesday night rather than Monday.... We have accepted their offer to host us temporarily on Wednesday nights. This is a great opportunity for us all to get back into it and will be treated as a temporary replacement for Saturday nights starting 7.30pm with 51 games finishing at 10.30pm, rather than normally what we have done in the past in clubs. Once I know the start date I’ll post on here. Please standby for the next update :)
09.01.2022 It’s Wednesday night and we are back in the main Ballroom tonight at Ettalong Diggers, don’t forget that $1000 Jackpot is up to 56 calls. With regards to Sat nights, NSW government still hasn’t lifted the 20 person cap for activities in Community Centres. Will let you know when Sats starting back as soon as we do.
07.01.2022 This is a great clip, rather funny for all of us Thanks Marlene B for sharing this. https://youtu.be/1CfMiBOMxT4
06.01.2022 We have had a lot of people asking when Saturdays starting back, so far restrictions of max 20ppl haven’t been lifted yet. Below is the current NSW rules for Community Centres.
04.01.2022 We are currently working with NSW Health at the moment to try and get an exemption to the current 20 person limit at the Community Centre for our Saturday night sessions. Will update you as soon as we find whether they accept our application or not. Council took over full management of the centre last week and this has been their advice.
03.01.2022 Well today should have been our October Mega Marathon, here’s the post from last year. Let’s hope we can start back again soon and do the Easter Mega Marathon. Have a great long weekend everyone!
