25.01.2022 There comes a point in the artist’s way where things start to flow effortlessly. Bowie described it in his song Space Oddity, I think my spaceship knows which way to go Have you reached that state of flow ever? What did it feel like? ... https://www.writepublishgrow.com/i-think-my-spaceship-know/

25.01.2022 When you cut open a pomegranate, prepare for mess! Put on a smock as the red juice will leave stains. Is it worth messing with the pomegranate? You betcha! All those ruby red seeds are delicious packets of vitamin C and are delicious. Happy pomegranate thoughts ... Do you have any tips for hacking the pomegranate? Any recipes?

21.01.2022 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month... The people in this video are my ancestors. The man is Beyba, Mum’s grandfather on her father’s side. He lost his mother on the great migration during WWI when the Ottoman Empire was being torn apart by foreign invaders. ... The young and the old woman are Mum’s grandmother on her mother’s side. She lost both of her brothers in Gallipoli. This is only my side of the story. 65,000 Turks were killed in Gallipoli. Today is Remembrance Day and what are we remembering? I didn’t know until this year, when I started sitting down with older people, from my family and older Australians. Officially, we are remembering the last day of WWI, which was the ANZAC’s debut on the world stage and unfortunately resulted in great tragedy. The colonies already had small populations - the whole of Australia was merely 3.7million people in the early 1900s. You can probably imagine the sense of loss and despair when many strong young men departed for Gallipoli to never return. We all have stories and a past and this Remembrance Day let’s remember our elders and make time to listen to their stories because they are our stories, why we are here today, remembering. I look forward to hearing what you uncover. Music by Baak Yavuz Music

17.01.2022 Look down on the grass and you’ll see yellow presents from Mother Nature. They are not all for eating :)

15.01.2022 Can you see your own polarities? We all possess the magician, warrior, king and lover archetypes and their negative, off-centre shadows. These qualities manifest as excessive meddling (know it all), narcissism (I’m the most powerful!), righteousness (I’m always right) and a need to be desired, loved and wanted. ... Parsley is the embodiment of the meddler, walnut puts up rigid walls, pomegranate stains before giving away her nourishing and delicious seeds and the onion results in lots of shed tears. I explore these tendencies and the benefits of this work in my memoir writing and preparation of salads and other dishes What negative behaviours are you catching yourself caught up in and how would you describe these tendencies and the benefits of awareness of these behaviour patterns in yourself?

14.01.2022 When we take the time to discover our inner gold, we can also see it in others. This is why a daily journaling practice, where you get all your grievances out in the open, in writing is invaluable. In a sense it’s gold digging, but in a very, very good way

13.01.2022 It’s great to write your own life but also don’t forget to have a long chat with an older person every once in a while. They’ve lived through some very interesting times in our history, like Bob here, a fellow Lane Covian, who once transported Japanese war criminals to be tried on Manus Island. https://issuu.com/thevil//tvo_20november_202020/s/11242922

03.01.2022 How do we use metaphors in narrative therapy? Here’s me working through a common problem in female relationships, jealousy and competition. I wonder what this inspires in you? ... https://www.writepublishgrow.com/a-meditation-to-unlock-po/

02.01.2022 Pomegranate is a beautiful fruit inside and out and makes us beautiful. It’s high on vitamin C and taking a little time to apply a pomegranate mask as a way to bring attention to ourselves is an act of narcissism and that’s okay. We are all narcissistic ... What was your self-indulgent act of the week?
