Thank you for registering & making the commitment to spend the weekend together. Mark will be speaking on 'Church, Christianity & Culture' during our sessions together where we are eager to see how God challenges & encourages us during this time. During the sessions the children will be involved with... a Kids Program being run by Xanthe & Daniel Boyce where they will learn about being A Light to the World, have some games, do some craft & for the ages 8-12 have the opportunity to go on the High Ropes Course. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about the Youth/Adults... you will also have the opportunity to have a turn on the Giant Swing if you like on Saturday afternoon. There will be lots of time for families to spend time together too with free time on Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning (grab a car load & head to the beach!) & our Family Fun Extravaganza on Saturday night. Our time begins on Friday night at 7:30pm with our first session with Mark, you can arrive anytime after 6pm please make your way to the foyer to find Nicole who will tell you which Cabin you are in. Dinner is not provided on Friday night but there are many great cafes & restaurants in & around Toukley where you can grab a bite before arriving. Saturday morning our session starts at 9am and if you are joining us on Sunday we will have morning tea at 10:30am then move into our Worship & Communion Service. Our program ends on Sunday with Lunch & we are to check out by 2pm. You will need to bring your own bedding for single beds & a towel. To take part in the Toukley run activities you must wear closed in shoes & shorts & bring your swimmers/boardies for the slip n slide. The front gate at Camp Toukley is on an automatic timer & opens at 7am; closing at 7pm for our security. If you are arriving after or before this time please ring Nicole for the code. Please note you would have received an automated email from Eventbrite reminding you to bring your tickets along- you do not need these. See you tomorrow!

22.01.2022 From the Elders - Sunday services and COVID-19 The government has restricted people from meeting together in places of worship until further notice. As a result, we will no longer be able to meet together on Sunday mornings at our West Pennant Hills location. We know that the building isn’t sacred, the church is. We are the church and we will continue to use the blessings of technology in this time to meet together. We will be using Zoom to live-stream the service.. We will k...eep the ‘chat’ section open in Zoom so people can interact before, during and after the service. Meeting ID: 223 850 806 10am If you need some technical help, please don’t hesitate to call Dale K.

22.01.2022 Zoom password for our service is 2125

20.01.2022 Hi Church, I’m sure you’re all aware that the government has placed a total ban on meeting together in places of worship. This obviously affects us and so we will no longer be able to meet together on Sunday mornings at our WPH location. But that’s ok. We know that the building isn’t sacred; the church is. And we are the church and we will continue to use the blessings of technology in this time to still meet together, but through Zoom. This worked well last week, and we are ...purposely keeping the ‘chat’ section open in Zoom so conversations can happen before, during and after the service. Here are the details to join in. FROM A COMPUTER: (Use computer Audio/Video settings) Join Zoom Meeting https://zoom.us/j/223850806 FROM A PHONE WITH THE APP: (Call using Internet Audio) Meeting ID: 223 850 806 Again, if you need some technical help, please don’t hesitate to contact Dale K. We also recognise the difficulty of how we share communion at this time, and so we will not be partaking of this regularly, however we will lead a time of communion on Good Friday where we will ask you to have something prepared (some bread and juice) for yourselves, and we will then share communion monthly in various formats through our streamed service. Many of our usual ministries have also had to be put on hold, such as PlayTime, English Classes, and LiveWire. However the Emmaus Correspondence School and our Hands & Feet Food distribution ministry are still active, so please be in prayer over all of these things at this time. We will continue to have our Leadership meetings and Church prayer meetings, and we encourage our small groups to continue to use Zoom (or the like) to meet together. It’s a unique time we find ourselves in, however it also brings with it so many unique opportunities for us as the church too. There are ample ways that we can be ambassadors for Christ in this time, even if we can’t do many of the things that we usually take for granted. Look for what God is doing in this time, and how you can be a part of it! But also, reach out if you need some support or help. This is a difficult time to navigate but we’re here for you! Praying Romans 15:13 over you all May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Christ! Tim K (on behalf of the Elders)

18.01.2022 Hi there West Penno, We praise God that we have been experiencing a flattening of the curve of cases of Covid-19 in our Country, and that this has enabled some restrictions to be eased. We also acknowledge that we are still in the midst of a global pandemic and so we want to act responsibly and wisely to be a part of the ongoing solution, recognising that it is likely that the virus is still active in the community. The health authorities and government bodies have advised th...Continue reading

17.01.2022 Being the holiday season, there is still lots of food left over from Hands and Feet today. Please come and grab some food for yourselves or someone you know. Here til 5 and then again for church night of prayer, 7:30-9pm.

14.01.2022 A message from our Elders... Hi there church, As most of you will be aware the government has put restrictions in place that ceases non-essential indoor gatherings for 100 people or more.... Based on recent attendance, especially with some not able to attend in the current context of COVID-19, we will not exceed 100 people gathering. With this in mind, it is our current decision to provide the opportunity to continue to meet together for Sunday Services at 10am on Sunday mornings, albeit with an emphasis on proper hygiene practices and social distancing where possible. We also recognise and respect that there are some amongst our church community who may feel vulnerable amongst larger gatherings and will choose not to attend, so we are also going to be live streaming our services through Zoom, an online Video Conferencing tool. Please click this link https://zoom.us and simply create an account for yourself (an email address and password is all you will need). This will enable you to stream the Sunday Service either via your mobile, tablet or computer and watch it as an individual or family. At this stage it will not be recorded on Zoom, so you will need to be ready to watch it live via Zoom at 10am on Sunday morning. Zoom Meeting ID: 223 850 806 We will have church members available at this Sunday morning’s service if anyone would like to take advantage of this tool in the future and need help setting it up. Alternatively, if you need help setting this up and won’t be attending the service on Sunday, please let us know and we’ll arrange for someone to assist you in this. Obviously if you develop a fever or cold/flu symptoms, we also ask you to stay at home and join us via Zoom. We are continuing to watch how things unfold with the effects of this virus and are prepared to engage in alternative arrangements if our usual gatherings become unsustainable, unsafe or contrary to government restrictions in the future. Let’s continue to remember the timely words of Jesus, our Saviour, Lord and King, who still sits on the throne and who holds and sustains all things in His powerful hands. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 Paul, Pete & Tim
