23.01.2022 Businesses big and small still seem to be lining up in the courts, Major injuries and deaths are still occuring, all of which could be easily reduced, if not eliminated......so why are they still happening??? Had a chat with a worker from a large work site recently, asking why is this still happening. The answer was alarming, but not overly surprising........."The Bosses dont get involved, production before safety and very little (no) work experience of a number of Safety Advisors (straight out of school)." No one begrudges new people in the work force, nor the importance of gaining work experience, but to what point? Experience, along with current systems, good communications, and a safety committment from ALL levels of the workforce is definately a good path to follow. WpS can help implement all of these effective safety tools !!!!

02.01.2022 So often I read court reports and see businesses, small and large being fine significant amounts of money for OH&S breaches.....breaches that can be easily avoided. I would have thought most businesses would prefer to keep their money or spend it in more productive ways....I am obviously wrong. What most don't realise is because of this (and other contributing factors) insurance costs keep increasing, business expenses increase, which means LESS employment.........Lets start thinking out of the box people !!!!!
