25.01.2022 Imagine having to pack up your life and spend months away from home. Thats the reality for some graziers, like this family from a property near Eromanga in Western Queensland. Severe drought forced them to take their cattle droving in search of grass to keep their animals alive. It's a tough gig sometimes, but it's worth it. 500+ kilometres walked More than 200 nights camping ... Rain, hail or heat, the cattle require 24/7 supervision and care. #drought #droving #westernqueensland Help us continue our work by donating today: www.wqda.org.au

22.01.2022 Cash keeps our communities going. We turn cash donations into local community spending and our research indicates that the majority of our prepaid cards are spent locally on groceries and other essential household items. Local spending means people stay in our regions, they work and buy local, attend schools and contribute to our communities. We think this is the best way to support drought stricken Western Queensland. Read more here: www.wqda.org.au #buylocal #spendlocal #drought #westernqueensland #cashisking

05.01.2022 A safe and comfortable flight back to Longreach with Qantas after the Western Queensland Drought Appeal 'Shout an Outback Town' fundraiser in Caxton St. The night brought a few showers of rain in Brisbane while the Qantas Wallabies broke their 2018 The Rugby Championship drought at Suncorp Stadium. Thanks to Georgina and the Qantaslink crew for taking good care of us, as always.

05.01.2022 After taking a short break following a very busy 2018, our dedicated team of volunteers is back on board to assist our drought impacted region. Sadly the wet season we've been waiting for has not yet eventuated and vast areas of Western Queensland remain as dry as ever. Until the drought breaking rain falls, we welcome donations, big or small, to help us continue assisting those in need. #drought #westernqueensland Donate today: www.wqda.org.au

04.01.2022 We were recently donated a Polaris Ace ATV after a nationwide promotion through Polaris Australia saw us receive the bike for our charity. So we decided to pay it forward and place all 550 property names currently on our RAPAD area distribution list and draw a winner a random. So the lucky random winner was Talleyrand at Longreach. We wish the Curran family all the best with their new acquisition. Thanks to Polaris and to Johnlee Motors for the support.
