23.01.2022 Lee has been phenomenal in his support of both Wright Tennis and the Macleod Tennis Club. Has been donating sausages to us for years plus supported all our fundraising events. Plus, personally, I’m a big wrap for those lemon pepper thigh fillets he does, will definitely miss those! Very sad to see him go from the area. Let’s keep supporting him right up until his last day. Thanks mate, good luck with everything in the future.

22.01.2022 We still are waiting on official confirmation on what the stage 4 restrictions mean for our business and the Macleod Tennis Club. Please keep an eye on our socials and our emails tomorrow. Stay safe everyone and we will be in touch

22.01.2022 Below is an email sent today to Wright Tennis clients: Hi Everyone, Hope you are all going well. Just wanted to update you on some news since Mondays announcement from the Premier about the winding back of restrictions.... Basically, we cant do anything until Banyule Council update us on their policy. Tennis Australia have given the go-ahead to start tennis again using the principles of the max 10 outside rule, pending council approval. Once we see what Banyule decide, then the club and I will be in dialogue as to what this allows for both the club and the coaching program. Hopefully you will hear from me in the next day or so with some sort of confirmation. If we do get the go ahead, it wont be situation normal, there will be policies and restrictions in place that respect the health of players, parents, coaches, club members and the community at large and we will have to work around those until at least the end of May. After that, further restrictions may be relaxed, which could make things easier for us and return to some form of normality.

21.01.2022 Its good to be back! Thanks to all that have shown up tonight and been in touch. It is different, but was great to see kids out and about, enjoying the fresh air whilst having a hit with their mates

21.01.2022 Face Mask // We will be wearing masks as per government guidelines. While we are conducting lessons, masks are not mandatory. If youre a player, you dont have to wear a mask during lessons. If the student is over 12 years of age, they will require to wear a mask to and from classes. Stay safe everyone

21.01.2022 A masterful practioner in Stefan Edberg made the complex look so simple.

19.01.2022 Important information regarding Stage Four Restrictions As you are aware, the Vic government had enforced further restrictions. Therefore, all lessons will be cancelled effective immediately.... I know this isnt the news we wanted to hear yet again. We are here to answer any questions and have a chat as we know its tough out there. Lets hope us Melbournians can beat this pandemic and be back in full swing in Spring!

03.01.2022 Appreciation Post: Thanks to Pauline at @staydryproducts for fitting out the coaching team with masks during this covid period. Its ok, we promise we wont walk into any banks looking like this!... Just a reminder of the Tennis Vic mask policy thats relevant to coaching and social play at @macleodtennisclub To coach tennis, you should wear a mask at all times the only exception to this would be if a coach was physically participating in a simulated match play situation (i.e. running around playing full points/games on a full court setting with a student) in which case they could remove it for this, but would need to put it back on before interacting with anyone again or once going back to non-match sim coaching. If in doubt or unsure, please just err on the side of caution and keep your mask on. Children under the age of 12 are not required to wear a mask at any stage but can if they want to. Children aged between 12-18 fall within the category of the first point. Even if a family is playing socially together and not interacting with anyone else, masks still need to be carried and used as per the points above. Stay safe

01.01.2022 Just a reminder, no more 5 minute gaps between classes from this week. Back to having classes on the 1/2 hour.

01.01.2022 Come and get active and get on court. Whilst there are still restrictions, coaching at Macleod Tennis Club is back on! The club is back open to members tomorrow too!
