22.01.2022 Videography sessions were recently run at the City of Onkaparinga's Base 10 Youth Centre to support the fledgling careers of the young musicians attending the social club. Council's Youth Music Project Officer Travis Demsey said in my interview with him that videoing and live streaming is the answer at present for artists to be able to share their music. 12.01.2022 Did you know fluffy Hooded Plover chicks are smaller than a golf ball? How cute! Hoodie chicks and their parents are easily distressed by people and dogs, though, so it's great for them that we're staying in our homes for a bit in South Australia to give them a chance to thrive on local beaches. Hoodie Helper volunteers Sue and Ash Read are doing lots of work to improve the population of the birds. 12.01.2022 Researching and writing this story about the history of Coromandel Valley was truly delightful. As the article explains, much of the area's pioneering past can be explored on-foot via the scenic Sturt River Linear Park walk. Thanks to Coromandel Valley & Districts Branch National Trust SA chairman Trevor Conlon for his assistance with providing information about the significance of the buildings in the area.
