14.01.2022 It’s that ‘cARTel Journal time of year’ again, and we’re busy preparing to circulate pages! We’re up to Volumes 6 & 7. Volume 6 is the Teacher & Student Journa...l . Volume 7 is our annual Artisan Journal. With the works of approximately 350 local creatives currently archived into the Bendigo Library, cARTel aims to archive more than 700 works by 2020. cARTel’s goal is to ‘snapshot’ the current creative climate of Bendigo’s visual artists, philosophers, writers, mathematicians, composers, photographers, lyricists, inventors etc. for the interest of future Bendigonians as their local history. This is literally history in the making. Come, meet and mingle with the contributor’s of the cARTel Journals old and new! All 7 volumes dating back to 2016 will be on display during the Write on the Fringe Festival launch event on the 2nd August 2019 at 6pm, in the performance space at the Bendigo Library. To become a contributor into either: The Annual cARTel Artisan Journal, text or phone: Kelly Hartland on 0428 620 152 OR The cARTel Teacher & Student Journal, text or phone: Elise Lidgett on 0410 669 050 To RSVP for the Write on the Fringe event and all other enquiries: Facebook.com/Writeonthefringe and [email protected]

02.01.2022 We've had a couple of requests for suggestions for The Royal Books We Love. So I went onto the Bendigo Library catalogue, and entered "King" and "Queen" in Junior Fiction - that gave about 500 titles! (I then checked that they had my favourite version of Cinderella!) Have a look, and feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments! Applications close soon! - https://cogb.formstack.com/forms/books_we_love_2019
