24.01.2022 Thank you Mumbulla.

18.01.2022 What a lovely morning for a few of our writers to meet at Fishpen beach. It was so sheltered from the nasty South-Westerly wind.

16.01.2022 What happened to the WFSC? Will it continue? Who is the new committee? You'll have to watch to find out.

09.01.2022 One thing that physical distancing does not impact on is our ability to write, and read! And thanks to the innovation of local businesses, it also doesn't impact on our ability to buy a new book! The authors in our group are fortunate to have their books on shelves in Collins Booksellers Merimbula who are offering a call and collect or call and deliver service. Call them on 6495 1292 to order your books and collect them from the front counter or have them home delivered for ...orders over $50 to Merimbula, Pambula and Tura Beach #spendwiththem #buymorebooks #keepwriting #keepreading

04.01.2022 Keep writing...

02.01.2022 Writers of the Far South Coast (WFSC) are organising a series of writers’ workshops in the Bega Valley to take place in May 2020. At each venue, the workshops will run for five hours on the designated days in two consecutive weeks, with a morning tea and lunch break (bring your own lunch). Dr Rae Luckie is the presenter, and the workshops will include various techniques such as memory jogging, visualization, mapping, and writing from the senses to provide stories for the publ...ication of a unique compilation book, themed around memoir-style stories written for primary-school-aged children. Many children and grandchildren ask the question: ‘Tell us about when you were young?’. This book hopes to capture that answer, preserve it, and entertain future generations. The workshops are free of charge as the WFSC received a Mumbulla Foundation grant for this purpose. People will need to commit to both workshops at their venue. Workshop dates are: Bega library, Wednesdays 13 and 20 May (10 am 3 pm) Eden Library, Thursdays 14 and 22 May (10 am 3 pm) Bermagui Community Centre, Fridays 15 and 22 May (10 am 3pm) Tura Marrang Library, Saturdays 16 and 23 May (10 am 3 pm) Places are limited to ten participants at each venue. For bookings please contact Rae Luckie [email protected] or phone 0417 266 669
