01.01.2022 Excited to be joining @pattiebeerens and Linda Gallus at @thehiveoceangrove for the opening of - ENTROPY I will be bringing signed Written in Stone ’s along. Come say ! Saturday, 30 January 2-4pm... ENTROPY Linda Gallus (painter) & Pattie Beerens (ceramics) 29 January 28 February The Hive Gallery, 1/41 Smithton Grove, Ocean Grove, Victoria 3226 T: 0417 116 216 www.thehiveoceangrove.com.au Friday to Sunday 10-4pm or by appointment Linda Gallus paints to explore a run-down farming property in Curlewis with it's woolshed and outbuildings that are slowly deteriorating and returning to the earth. Ceramicist Pattie Beerens interpretation of the same site adds a tactile element to the encompassing experience that is "Entropy" . By incorporating the Indigenous grasses and plants that once vegetated the Bellarine Peninsula Pattie posits that nature and nurture may return. (image)Pattie Beerens, Family Pithoi, 2021, three clays. Formed from three clays into the shape of an urn, this large robust pot forms a genealogy that goes back millions of years and before man. Made from mineral rich black clay from Ireland, coarse white clay from Australia and smooth red clay discovered on the side of the road in Anglesea. Photo credit Thomas Radtke See more
