18.01.2022 Hey We Rockers, In line with Greater Geelong and Regional Victoria heading into Stage 3 Restrictions as on Wednesday night. We Rock The Spectrum Geelong will still be open for Private Hire and Respite sessions from Thursday. However, these will be limited to strictly members of the immediate household only. We have strict health and hygiene procedures in place and the gym is fully sanitised between sessions according to COVIDSAFE Business Procedures.... Masks must also be worn by all adults and children over the age of 12 who enter our facility. We also want to take the opportunity to remind you of our updated cancellation policy. We Rock the Spectrum Australia Gyms follow the NDIS Cancellation Guidelines (2020) Please see outlined below: * Cancellations more than 48 hours before the service - full refund/no charge * Cancellation within 48 hours of service or NO SHOW - no refund/full payment required An email will be sent out tomorrow with further information to all those who have bookings in the coming weeks. The wonderful folk at R U OK Day have created this video showing kids how to ask a friend "Are you OK." For parents and carers: While children cant be expected to fix someones problems, they can be encouraged to take notice, show they care and tell a teacher, school counsellor or trusted adult if they are worried.

11.01.2022 Hi Im Jess a peer mentor and hairdresser at Tricky Trims. Id like to welcome any new people to our page and explain what it is I actually do. I have been w...orking with special needs families for many years and have much lived experience due to my own families neurodiversity. First can I tell you this is a job I do for love not money and I limit my client numbers because I am a Mum, my family comes first. At times I have a wait list because it can be an extremely mental and physically draining task to attempt to cut a childs hair that does not want it cut. My first step is setting an agreed goal to work with the parents on achieving with their child, it can be as simple as getting them in the door. Once this is achieved we move onto the next goal and so on. As a peer mentor at Tricky Trims I only work with children that have sensory or anxiety issues. This service is claimable from your NDIS funding if you are plan or self managed.
