25.01.2022 WSBA hosted the annual ‘Women in Business Lunch,’ at the gorgeous Matilda Bay Restaurant on 5th November 2020. Our MC was the wonderful Catriona Macleod, the thought-provoking and engaging lunch provided a chance for women in business to be inspired, and connect with other boss ladies. Fabulous guest speaker, Fempire Founder, Marnie LeFevre, provided her insights on entrepreneurship and supporting women to achieve success in business and leadership. ... 01.01.2022 WSBA are beyond excited to be able to hold our first Business After Hours for 2020! And to cap it off, it sold out in just 8hrs! We didn't even get a chance to post it on our socials! Introducing our host David Jeary, Managing Director, Lexus of Perth. David should have known that he was destined to be in the car industry when, aged 13, this son of two teachers had to take over the negotiations for the purchase of his parents new car! ... It was his early career in finance, one that took him all over Australia, which led to him managing large multi-franchise vehicle dealerships for a public company. In 2006 David and his family returned to Perth and David had his first experience in luxury cars as GM of Diesel Motors. Fourteen years ago, in association with Primewest, David took up the Lexus ownership, providing him with the chance to manage his own dealership. Lexus of Perth has become the flagship dealership within the Australian Lexus network, with sales consistently exceeding national market share, and consistently high customer satisfaction. David is a long term supporter of the WSBA and the community as a whole, this is a wonderful example of his generosity, we're looking forward to a fantastic night. 01.01.2022 Can you believe it's almost December? How crazy is that? The year has flown by and it's been filled with challenges, triumphs and many many changes for Perth's small business community. So what are you planning on doing during the "quiet time" that is the December-January period to stay top of mind with your existing customers and prospects? Now is the time to start planning so you can hit go and let your technology do the work!... Schedule some emails to go out periodically that offer value to your list. Communicate any changes to your operations, service times or opening hours via your social media platforms. You could also offer a special discounts or promotions to those who book ahead for 2021, who pre-pay for services/products or even specific offers for your social media followers only. That last one is a great way to drive engagement but also measure the effectiveness of the offer as only those who see it on social media will be able to take advantage of it.
