19.01.2022 Congratulations to our new mayor Gail Giles-Gidney and commiserations to the other candidates in what all would agree was great and incrediably close contest. ...Rumor has it that the Giles-Gidney camp was energised by a "sign from the gods" when on Friday night the Bureau of Meterology revised it's light wind forecast for Saturday and issued a Gale Warning. Seems they got their forecast right. If you have any doubt about the effectiveness of listing all your preferences, just check out the results via the link below and notice how in the race to avoid elimination between Gail and Tony the lead changes multiple times. Then, when Tony is eliminated in the final round, his preferences send Gail from 350 behind to 288 ahead to win the ballot. https://results.elections.nsw.gov.au//DistributionOfPrefer See more

15.01.2022 Sam Cutler managed both the Rolling stones and the Grateful Dead and guess what his first music choice is. "At some time you would like music to be a little bit more Taylor Swift". 08.01.2022 The choir has been practicing the aussi version of the 12 days of christmas with Koalas, emus and wallabys, but I cant help thinking, given the trauma suffered by our wildlife in this years bushfires.. we should really be singing a version with burnt koalas, dead emus etc. Obviously that would be in poor taste but perhaps we should leave out the 12 aussi days of xmas and set up a collection for people and animals affected by the bush fires https://www.abc.net.au//beekeepers-traumatised-by/11721756
