24.01.2022 On Sunday the 31st of August at midday there were one hundred and thirty eight skiers, family and friends enjoying Lake Kurwongbah. Saturday there were approxi...mately 50 involved with the Waterski Qld tournament fundraiser plus a number of social skiers cruising the lake. So, in total for one weekend, nearly 200 people utilising this venue. And guess what, we shared the lake with a number of "non motorised" craft. Looks like every one is happy here!

20.01.2022 It was great while it lasted. This week SEQ Water are closing down the Waterski QLD State Training Centre. Special mention must go to Emma and Rick of Oz Ski Resort who were instrumental in getting this facility back up and running. Thanks also to all the people to helped to maintain the site over the last few years and those who donated their time and boats - especially the Weeks family whose boat became the official training boat at the site. We have had some memorable ...events at the site over the last few year, including the St.George Bank KBah Bask last year, when World Champion and World Record Holder, Nate Smith visited the site. It ended with the final outing this weekend, where around 20 skiers took part in a fundraising tournament with proceeds going to the QLD Members of the Australian Squad heading to the Senior Worlds in a few weeks time. Such a shame that this great facility which attracted skiers from far and wide into the Moreton Bay region is now closing despite best efforts to keep it open. Hopefully in the not too distant future the site will once again host some of the best waterskiers in the country. See more

08.01.2022 CHRISTMAS has come early for those who enjoy on-water recreation at Lake Kurwongbah. Seqwater has listened to the community and expanded opportunities for on-wa...ter activities at Lake Kurwongbah with public paddling and club water skiing now available seven days a week, with the creation of new recreational zones! Since the lake was opened to the public for the first time in 2014, there has been an interim arrangement where paddlers and club skiers enjoyed access to the lake on different days. BUT as of TOMORROW paddlers and club skiers will have access to the lake every day of the week. Check out the video or click on the link below to find out more AND also to hear some exciting news about the future of public paddle craft opportunities at Lake Samsonvale! http://bit.ly/2j61Hwd Moreton Bay Regional Council Shane King MP- Labor for Kurwongbah Pine Rivers Rowing Club Save water skiing on Lake Kurwongbah
