23.01.2022 CEO CHRISTMAS MESSAGE 2020 Dear Community Members Whilst 2020 is a year we will never forget due to the Pandemic, we are choosing to reflect on all the good things that happened this year.... In 2020 we grew membership by 58%, meaning we have even more people to participate in wheelchair sport with us. Importantly, we grew Juniors participation by 292% thanks to Macquarie Group, which bodes well for the future of wheelchair sport in NSW/ACT. Whilst we weren’t rolling, we stayed connected with you all via our series Rolling Conversations. In addition, we put special focus on growing participation for girls & women with our HER SPORT Festivals funded by Women NSW, & our music video HOW I ROLL funded by Office of Sport. In a packed year, we also focused on setting our organisation up for future growth, with a new Constitution, new IT Systems & a new Chairman in Paralympian Nick Taylor. None of this would have been possible without partners. In particular, we thank Suncorp, whose support for our work with their GIO Insurance brand is one of the most enduring partnerships in Australian sport. To all of our other Sponsors, individual donors, Government Partners & friends in the sector, we say thank you for being with us, shoulder to shoulder. Finally, I thank our Board, staff & army of volunteers who work tirelessly to serve our Mission. We exist to change lives through sport, & it’s a privilege to lead a team that did its best to do that every single day of 2020. The future of wheelchair sport in NSW/ACT is bright indeed. From my family to yours, have a safe & happy Christmas, until we get rolling again in 2021. Mick Garnett CEO Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT

14.01.2022 To know where you’re going, you have to know where you’ve been. Today we visited Mt Wilga Rehabilitation Hospital, a place that played a crucial role in the development of the Paralympic movement in Australia. With thanks to passionate CEO Lorrie Mohsen, we learnt more about pioneers in disability sport, people like Dr John Grant, Eileen Perrottet & Kevin Betts. As a result of today, our team recommitted to work even harder to serve our Mission in 2021. We know that we stand on the shoulders of giants, & we are guardians of an incredible idea. The idea that sport changes lives. Mick Garnett, CEO
