16.01.2022 Queensland has 70 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising the state total to 625. Cairns and Hinterland has 19 cases to date. Central Queens...land has 5 cases to date. Central West has 0 cases to date. Darling Downs has 21 cases to date. Gold Coast has 114 cases to date. Mackay has 5 cases to date. Metro North has 178 cases to date. Metro South has 152 cases to date. North West has 0 cases to date. South West has 0 cases to date. Sunshine Coast has 69 cases to date. Torres and Cape has 0 cases to date. Townsville has 15 cases to date. West Moreton has 31 cases to date. Wide Bay has 16 cases to date. Contact tracing is underway for the 70 new cases. Queensland Health will notify the community if any other public health alerts are required. The majority of cases are from patients who have travelled overseas, or have had direct contact with a confirmed case who had travelled overseas. The number of confirmed cases we see each day is expected to vary as we continue to respond to the COVID-19 situation across the state. We want everyone to know they can play their part to protect themselves and the more vulnerable in our community. Please follow the recommended advice from us and our federal counterparts in regards to social distancing, public gatherings and general wellbeing. Critically, make sure you are practicing good hygiene and staying home if you’re sick. Washing your hands properly and often is the gold standard of health advice that can help prevent viruses from entering your body. Queensland Health is urging anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days and has a fever or any respiratory symptoms to see a doctor immediately. Please call ahead to the GP surgery and let them know your symptoms and travel history, this will help them prepare for your arrival. The most up-to-date reliable information is available on the Queensland Health website at www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus

11.01.2022 Attention: Wulguru Little Athletic Families, Unfortunately, with the Covid-19 restrictions in place we will be unable to resume our regular competitions this season. At this stage we are hoping normal competitions will resume in 2021. For this season you have 4 options:... 1. Join Wulguru for this season for $55.00 and access our equipment for training as available with any Wulguru credentialed coach and be able to eligible for regionals/winters/other LAQ events. 2. Join Wulguru this season @ $55.00 and attend another Townsville Club as a visitor/guest on the resumption after school holidays. * There is a $10 guest fee at Ross River Little Athletics who compete on Friday Nights. * Townsville Centrals (Saturday) are confirming if there will be a guest fee to attend regularly or as a one off. 3. Join another Townsville Little Athletics club Townsville Central LA’s (Saturday’s) or Ross River LA’s (Friday Nights). 4. Have the season off and look to rejoin in 2021 Wulguru Little Athletics will not be offering Tiny Tots or accepting new members for this season.
