22.01.2022 First of four virtual workshops with Jemena - gas & electricity providers in Melbourne and Sydney. Had fun taking them into their first interactive zoom workshop - they loved the break outs, polls and interaction. Brilliant to have 70 opt in for a Personal Leadership Strengths discovery session. Humour a plenty - top strengths of Honesty and Kindness and how nice to see a good dash of humility across the group - a rare gem.

19.01.2022 Soooo excited to have a face to face training event today in SA. So awesome for this divine group of leaders to be in the same room. The first time since early March. The session was perfect for stepping into a new positive chapter. The program titled This is who we are was a tailored design as a re- set, regroup and focus + positive strategy session. A rich blend of vision, values, strategy development, neuroscience for mental agility and positive leadership principles. ... I could barely sleep last night... and the day didnt disappoint - such a brilliant day. Thanks to Mark Perry and the leadership team at Accomodation - Human Services. Whilst I am enjoying the virtual presenting world - nothing beats feeling the energy, seeing the positive sparks of insight and connection and the uplift of a team day. Wonderful! EOFY we are taking bookings/ payment pre end of financial year for future bookings. Tax deductible and vital for teams to positively connect. A brilliant program coordinated by the local council delivered over 10 weeks. I deliver 2 workshops Authentic Leadership and The Speakers Edge. Love seeing the growth and connection in the group - all from varied community areas. ... This years divine collective really excelled in The Speakers Edge. I have updated this program consistently for the last 8 years and I re number the workbook each time and this was the 20th delivery. She delivered our ’Collaborate Innovate and Think Big’ workshop for graduates at IGO. They discovered their strengths and thinking styles in a fast-paced and interactive session. ... A wonderfully unique combination of signature strengths across the collective group - Kindness came in at No 1, Love of learning, Humour and Judgement. A terrific blend and interesting to see white hat thinking style was predominant which relates to gathering information to support decision making - which connects beautifully back to love of learning and judgement. Lorraine delivered with insight and energy - she has a background in coaching and NLP, hence working with values and helping others to gain clarity of thinking, this was brilliant in facilitating the session. 14.01.2022 Such a devastating time for Qantas - a truly iconic and trusted Australian brand. I presented at the Qantas Aspire emerging women in leadership conference in 2018. They were committed to supporting more women into leadership roles. One of the best part of delivering at conferences is hearing leaders in an industry address their people. ... On this occasion I saw a panel of female leaders from across the business - speak authentically about being a women in leadership. They were incredible leaders sharing real truths of their journey and how each had a role in calling out anything that they felt did not represent gender equality or was derogatory towards women in business. They spoke about actively encouraging others to step forward for roles. They demonstrated that ethics in business was real and they showed that leadership at every level is a journey of continued growth and development Qantas is an iconic trusted brand and Australian service provider. Feel deeply for their leaders and team members but I also know they will be doing their absolute best to support their people.

08.01.2022 I miss presenting at conferences and going to events. This flashed in my news feeds today- 4 years ago I won a small business competition and went to Sydney for Ted X. It was such a brilliant prize - the atmosphere was amazing. I think it will be sometime until a gathering of this scale will be together. Whilst I have crossed into the virtual world- there is something in the atmosphere and energy of getting large groups of people together. ... Whilst we are shifting forward - it will be a while!

07.01.2022 My first virtual workshop today with AFL sports ready. Eek ... it was exciting. Such a fabulous group - I felt a little like I had my training wheels on in the virtual world of zoom but we had a great session. It seems great timing to talk about the ups and downs, and some existing and new strategies to keep people buoyant + just having a tools down - people connect session was appreciated. Love the breakout room function enabling people to chat - great examples shared to support the topic 'Positively Charged and Resilient'.

05.01.2022 Today is 'International Happiness Day' March 20 2020. If we look to the research from positive psychology, one powerful core element is 'positive' social connection. 03.01.2022 I have a confession. Whilst I am the eternal optimist. I did wonder if I would be able to really engage confidently in the virtual training/speaking world. Why?... I am a tad technically-challenged, even remote controls drive me nuts! Could I get to a point of being in flow and present and really enjoy virtual delivery- breakouts, polls and virtual playthings. Would my participants love it - feel it- apply it! To anyone still climbing that virtual bridge... stick with it - the rewards are even sweeter. This week for me was the true shift week ... and I can say- I love delivering virtually. I wasn't sure I would ever 'feel' that! It doesn't beat my personal joy of face to face ... yet.... but it certainly feels a close 2nd. This weeks feedback from Supreme Court Melbourne Leaders near made my heart burst! There wasnt a moment spare when I didnt feel highly engaged. Loved it. 01.01.2022 We are all in the same STORM but different boats. is an analogy from writer Damien Barr and a lens I have been using to unpack why we have all be impacted differently through the COVID experience. Organisations, departments, teams and individuals have had vastly different experiences and challenges. Some of our clients have been in the eye of the storm and even huge vessels have been severely impacted, resulting in significant casualties and loss, others have been in hig...h speed boats, and adapted with less impact on their crew. Some have had networks of boats, supporting each other, some have family in life rafts and are feeling highly vulnerable. Captains have had to be agile, solution focussed and decisive - some have risen to the challenge and others have found it extraordinarily difficult to create a sense of hope and stability amongst the uncertainty. In supporting leaders/ teams across Australia our Melbourne clients have had extended periods of lock down- some are solo sailors and loneliness and mental fatigue are setting in, some are weary juggling families home schooling and keeping their boat balanced - others are enjoying the experience and have found a new sense of calm.
