21.01.2022 This study Bible took quiet a long time to restore, 185 pages had sticky tape stuck all over it, please don’t use sticky tape, is your Bible shedding pages or have torn pages, there are better ways to fix them yourself to make them last longer before they have to visit me, at least this one has a new life now
19.01.2022 Last couple of months have been very busy for me, many morning starts at 2am or earlier, but all good, getting Bindings done. One particularly is for a customer Graddad Jack’s Distillery in Miami on the Gold Coast check out this video they put together, was very proud to be a part of their business. 12.01.2022 A Customers father caught a 4m (13ft) Python here in Australia in his home in 1940 and skinned it, it stayed that way till now, I was asked to repair his (the son) two Bibles which were absolutely worn out and use some of the snake skin as the Bibles new cover, the Bibles now have a soft cover bound in Snake Skin with on-laid title on the spine, very unique binding.
06.01.2022 This Family Bible given a new lease on life, Before photos show that the spine has completely broken into two pieces as well as the covers separating and the cover spine also split, then you can see the after photos where I have tissue repaired all the torn and damaged pages and then re-sewn the split spine together again and then Under-Backed the cover gold tooling a new spine as the old one was a previous repair but saved the original Title Panel, ready now for the customer and will last many life times to come.
01.01.2022 Finished a 1815 Family Bible a number of weeks ago, cover was badly worn and a rebind, customer did not want to save it, but wanted to save the internals which were in good shape, so I bound this in a period style Full Leather cover with gold tooling to finish off and used the original clasps.
01.01.2022 Two Paperback Cook Books from the 60's rebound with hard covers the pages were repaired and the spine hand stitched, The custom binding (that runs onto the endpapers as well), multi coloured covers in Arbelave Library Buckram in the Flag colours of Hungary as these Cookbooks are Hungarian Cook Books, the customers Mother was delighted to still be able to use them, and hand them down to relatives when the time come.
