Thank you for your fundraising efforts and thank you for your heartfelt speech today Julie Pond (and thanks for making Mrs. Moto cry ). Sorry I couldnt be there, I just escaped from hospital today (Whoo hoo!!) and sadly couldnt get there in time to see you all. Its very humbling to have beautiful customers such as you lot who have shown so much support during this diff...icult period, we really do appreciate you and everyone else who has done so much. 20.01.2022 VALE ALAN QUAIFE It breaks our hearts to announce the loss of our dear friend, Alan Quaife. Alan was the inspirational coach at Frankston Peninsula Dolphin Sports and a truly inspirational leader & mentor to many. You will see in much of this footage, Cafe Moto is the backdrop. Alan spent many hours here planning his strategies, sporting and fundraising. Mr & Mrs Moto and all the staff loved chatting to this lovely fella and admired his dedication and loyalty to the people h...e helped. We helped where we could and within our means. Thousands of dollars were raised through our food truck events, which gave a huge boost to FPDS, but sadly these community events were cut short by City of Kingston. We continued our support by hosting a fortnightly tennis table tournament at Moto, for members of FPDS as well as young people from Bunjilwarra- Koori Youth Drug & Alcohol Healing Service, which was enormous fun. Alan May be gone and Moto may be gone...but Frankston Peninsula Dolphin Sports are going nowhere, and they need your help FPDS is a charitable organisation giving hope & enhancing the lives of our disadvantaged folk. 12.01.2022 A shout out to Mrs Moto from Mr Moto For those who know me, know Im not into the sooky Lala whiney Facebook posts, you know the ones that beg a response of whats up hun or Im here for you babe...and in fact I was very hesitant at posting up our current predicament to be honest. But we we are being strangled by these works and had little option but to turn to our community via Facebook ....and wow what a response! Its been a very tough time for us, everything happened ...at once - the day we faced closure was the same day my father passed away and the same day I was ambod off to hospital, and have been flat on my back ever since. Talk about multi tasking problems! But we are tough people and we crack on with life. This post isnt about seeking sympathy, its about acknowledging my wife Liz - Mrs Moto. Whilst I have been flat on my back she has kept everything going...looking after the cafe, managing the media storm, keeping the house going, doing the washing, taking the kids to school and on top of all that, daily visits to hospital to give me a shower and wipe my bum (sorry, Im still on morphine and have no filter ). Thank you Mrs Moto, you are made of tough stuff And thank you to our Moto community, so many beautiful people offering us so much support...we are truly humbled Mr.Moto
