24.01.2022 I don't normally get involved in the trucking / transportation sector, especially from the point of view of 'entrepreneurship' and 'disruption'. However, I coul...d not resist any longer after recently meeting a young Melbourne entrepreneur who is literally 'shaking up' vehicle mechanics within the trucking industry (nowadays, we use a more fancy term called 'disruption'). Meet Sandro Tranquim, a humble man with a strong Christian ethic, that started his mechanics business 'Tranquim' just over one year ago. With a powerful vision to succeed; strong willpower to work 'round the clock' and provide a quality service to his clients; and natural talent and entrepreneurial genius, Sandro has so far built his business across Victoria with 4 fleet vehicles, 4 dedicated mechanics, and a supporting team. Tranquim is now dominating its niche market with powerful branding techniques that cannot be ignored (especially if you're a Melbourne citizen walking the city streets), including vehicle signage, uniforms, and a promotional video capturing the essence of the company's ethos and work culture. 16.01.2022 A big thanks to serial entrepreneur Catherine Cervasio from AROMABABY for her insights and inspirational story during my 30 minute interview yesterday. What I d...iscovered from Catherine, is that a 'world ranking brand' is not built overnight. Instead, it takes blood, sweat and tears ! To be more precise, it takes passion, perseverance, risk taking, patience, strategy, a point of difference, tolerance, intuition, clever design, and so much more. Whilst this might be discouraging to some young aspiring entrepreneurs, what Catherine was able to demonstrate to me was that 'anything is possible if you believe in yourself'. Catherine's story is a cliche but real story of 'humble beginnings'. I wish to point out that it's taken Catherine over 22 years for the Aromababy brand to reach top status in the retail sector. What I also discovered was that Catherine spent many years working in the retail sector prior to establishing Aromababy, learning about consumer trends, product design, competition, and many other facets to effective brand building. 12.01.2022 Killer hot chocolate with Federico Re. Fed has a great presence on LinkedIn and is a journalist for different magazines and online publications in Australia and... internationally. It's funny how stepping into a brand that is congruent with who I truthfully am and marketing myself in ways outside the box has attracted in so many opportunities the past few weeks. What I'm so excited about is the exposure I'm going to be able to give my clients and community from these collaborations that are forming :)
