25.01.2022 Tuesday saw the Opening of Corangamite Mid week pennant,the weather was chilly but the games were all played in good spirits against our friendly rivals Skipton.Skipton took home the win on all three rinks with some close scores.The best of luck to all our club players in mid week pennant.

25.01.2022 On Sunday clubs along the Hamilton Highway came together at Derrinallum to take on the challenge of winning the John Anderson Hamilton Highway shield Club members from Inverleigh,Cressy,Lismore,Derrinallum and Mortlake played 5 games over the day with a nail biting finish resulting in a draw between Mortlake and Derrinallum,John presented the shield to both team captains who will share the shield until next year.Thanks to everyone who travelled and to all the players who took to the green

20.01.2022 Team Changes for Saturday pennant

20.01.2022 Due to the storm last night we have had to FORFEIT pennant tomorrow as our club house has considerable damage inside with flooding. Night bowls tonight has been CANCELLED and also our Tournament on Thursday has been CANCELLED. There will be a working bee at the club tomorrow at 10am. If we could have as people there as possible that would be great. The green is covered in debris. If anyone has an outdoor blower please bring it along.

20.01.2022 New outdoor lights installed today under our shelters. Thanks to James Buccholz Electrical great job. We are now planning for our 1st night Tournament for 2020. Details to be released soon

18.01.2022 Our Club has hosted 2 nights at the "Tiger Inn". Both nights were totally booked out and the feedback overall was that they thoroughly enjoyed the company, food, wait staff and the "incredible" ambience which all contributed to a wonderful dining experience. We are a hosting a 3rd night on Saturday 27th July. Hope to see you there!!!!!

18.01.2022 Just wanted to let our members know that our Club is being featured on the Corangamite Bowls show. To watch the show all you have to do is search Damos got Shot on Facebook and ask to join the page. Once accepted you will then be able to watch all of their segments and join in on their zoom show of a Friday night. They havent confirmed what night the Derri Bowling Club will be on either this week or next week. Our representatives are Rod, Fiona and Louise.

16.01.2022 On Sunday we had 12 teams from various clubs competing in our OPEN 4s Tournament. We welcomed teams from Cobden, Cressy, Colac City, Lake Bolac, Mortlake, Terang, Winchelsea, Warrnambool City, Derrinallum and Skipton. It was a great day with fabulous bowling from all teams. Thanks to all our members for all there hard work and making it a great success. Congratulations to Fitzys team from Conden winning all 4 games and Colin Goldsworthys team from Mortlake who were runners up. Special thanks to our Greens Committee, Bar staff and everyone who helped out with the Catering well done.

14.01.2022 Great day had by all in our Over 60s competition against Mortlake yesterday. Great to be back on the green.

14.01.2022 Today we hosted our Invitation Triples. A big thank you to our sponsors today Carpet Court from Ballarat and to Yvonne McDonald for doing the presentations. To our Greens Committee well done for presenting the green in such a exemplary fashion. Our catering committee did a beautiful job with the lunch and to all our members for supplying a delicious afternoon tea. Thanks also to our tournament director Ken Wynd and Umpire Joan Dobie.

14.01.2022 Last night we held Barefoot bowls where 26 bowlers enjoyed a great night. Bowlers enjoyed pre game toasties and hot chips during the game. Congratulations to our Winners Don Harrison and Lauren McLennan and runners up were John Reichman, Bev Steele and Wendy Barrett. Winner of the meal voucher was Don Barrett. Our next barefoot bowls night is on Monday 9th December 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Cost $10 per player includes food and bowls supplied. Drinks at bar prices. 13.01.2022 On Thursday 7th November we hosted our Invitation Fours Tournament. Unfortunately, the weather wasnt kind and the conditions were very tricky for our bowlers. Ok it was FREEZING!!!!! We were able to play 2 games in the morning but play was abandoned in the afternoon due to the rain. Barb Petts team from Skipton were our Winners and Jean Fidges team from Terang were Runners up. Congratulations to Raffle winner Val Coverdale; enjoy the Chocolate Hamper. Thank you to all the... bowlers who attended the day and to our Sponsors Sinclair and Wilson Accountants and The Blue Yabby Cafe in Lismore. To all our members who presented the Green, set up the Club room, cleaned up, did dishes, sold tickets, arranged the flowers, worked in the kitchen and provided an afternoon tea to die for, an amazing effort and well done!!! 13.01.2022 Fantastic day at Colac central who hosted the Mike Finn Memorial Fours. The Finn family did a wonderful job organising the day with 14 teams competing. 10.01.2022 On Sunday the club held its Opening Day with members playing in the Harrison Memorial.This event is hosted by Don & Lois Harrison in memory of Dons parents Russell & Grace Harrison who were life long members of the club and loved nothing more than a good game of bowls.Members played 3 games of 6 end tripled with Don & Lois presenting the winners and runner up teams with their awards.Thank you to all our members who came along and enjoyed a great afternoon of bowls.

It was a very close game and came down to the last end to get a result Congratulations to Bill and Joan who were the Winners and to Don and Lois for being Runners up. Well done

05.01.2022 Today our Club proudly hosted Division 2 Mid week pennant Semi finals. Congratulations to Winchelsea who defeated Camperdown and now progress to the Grand final. Congratulations also to Skipton who defeated Simpson and will now play Camperdown in the preliminary final next Tuesday. A special thanks to our officials Manager Joan Dobie and Umpires Rod Cameron and Ken Wynd. A big thank you to our Greens committee and catering committee who presented the club beautifully and made the day a roaring success. Winner of our raffle today was Jenny Hume from Simpson taking home a lovely Hamper.

04.01.2022 Today Derrinallum hosted the Division 2 mid week pennant Preliminary final between Camperdown and Skipton. The green rolled beautifully and the weather was perfect. It was an even contest at the lunch break with Camperdown in front by 1 shot but in the afternoon Camperdown proved too strong and were overall winners by 13 shots. Thanks to Manager Joan Dobie and umpire Ken Wynd who officiated today and special thanks to the Greens and Catering Committees who presented our club in an exemplary manner.

03.01.2022 Today we are spraying the green to eradicate Fungus and Algae. Our Club is so very grateful to Camperdown Bowls Club who donated the entire spray unit. Monthly brushing and spraying sees our green in beautiful condition.
