23.01.2022 Chip away and you’ll achieve. Anna has been working hard all year to get her squats up to 100kg . She’s probably clocked up 1000s and 1000s of body weight/band squats and hip bridges to get her glutes firing up to cope with the increasing weekly loads. Today, all her persistence paid off completing 3 reps at 100kg!!! What a phenomenal effort. Well done Anna

I’m not quite there yet, but I am training with specificity and purpose to enable myself to reach my goal time. 17.01.2022 A huge congratulations goes out to Ben who completed his first ever half marathon this morning Unbroken 21.1km of running at a very impressive pace Ben first approached me last August to say that he had set himself a goal to complete the Gold Coast Marathon this year. I was blown away by his goal as Ben hadn’t ran more than 10k at this stage. To his credit, Ben trusted my coaching and diligently stuck to my programming increasing weekly mileage, adding in tempo training and those long slow Sunday runs. Back in December Ben ticked off his first 10k event, today, he smashed out his first half and tomorrow he’ll be ready to commence his full marathon training. Well done Ben, we are all so proud of what you have been able to achieve in 7 months

Continuing on from completing his first half marathon back in March, Ben has soldiered on every week clocking up big kms to prepare himself for today’s 42.2km. As expected, Ben ploughed through today’s run crossing the finish line as a very proud marathon finisher. As his coach and friend, I’m in awe of what Ben has achieved. 14.01.2022 To remember our dear friend Marcus Champion and raise awareness for Bowel Cancer research we will be running his very own Elwood Parkrun on his birthday at 8am this ANZAC Day. We will be running or walking 5kms from the end of Head Street in Elwood towards St Kilda and back. Marcus was big on being accurate with times and place getters so please bring your own watch to record your time and $5 or so which we will donate to Bowel Cancer Australia in particular the BRAF mutation... research group. This is the mutation Marcus had which is rare and aggressive and currently has no standard treatment to cure it. We look forward to seeing you all down there. 06.01.2022 Congratulations to all those who ran in today’s RUN MELBOURNE EVENTS This year we had: Pauline, Marree, Kim, Jason, Sarah, Mike, Felicity and Jane run in the half. We had Mark run in the 10k and Sam, Ben, Claudia and Jenny run in the 5k event Everyone did so well and made me feel super proud to be their running coach. Personal best efforts were achieved by Kim, Marree, Ben and Claudia. Since then, she has belted out PB after PB after PB finishing the year with an impressive half marathon time of 1:36:50.
