21.01.2022 Thanks to our little brothers from down south, @WYLD Projects Indigenous Corporation for dropping in on us at Kalan for a few days on country to lend a hand fencing. Well done Brad, Goma and John for the great work you are doing in mentoring young Indigenous men. We enjoyed working with you all and hope you can visit us again one day. WYLD Projects, A Youth Indigenous Program. All the best fellas. X

19.01.2022 Benjamin, Kaantju Traditional Owner working for Kalan doing the important work of cultural surveys this week. BJ is recording and documenting scar trees for our database. A great asset for Kalan. Fantastic work BJ.

18.01.2022 A special mention to Wolverton Station, Neville (far left) and his old man Billy Jackson (second right) thanks fellas for helping us clear up some tricky tracks on country. No one knows our country as much we do, and Billy (one of the highly respected non indigenous elders of Cape York) it was good to see him back on our country helping us out. Billy who was a good friend to the great elder, the late Thomas Creek (Snr) who helped Grandad Tom push the first track over to PaalPaal, PathonPathon and up into Ngallabidgi for family to visit and look after country. (Boi, did Bill have some stories to share with us when we caught up with him) Sponsored by Kalan Enterprises.

15.01.2022 Remembering Mr. Eddie Koiki Mabo. **** 28 years ago, the High Court overturned a 200 year-old myth of the terra nullius. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the custodians, and have been caring for this land ‘we call Australia’ for 60,000 years and we still continue to do so today. Thank you Mr. Mabo for your strength, leadership and love. Today we celebrate you. #EddieMabo

But first it’s important that our machines are in working condition. Make sure you keep an eye out for the green machines on the move. #PDR

11.01.2022 Living and working on country, now and then we come across motherless baby animals. This little fat girl was found this morning on country, fallen from above we were there to rescue her when an eagle flew off with her mother. 01.01.2022 Did anyone get out on the waters over the weekend? We did at KALAN, and the boys from W.Y.L.D Projects couldn't have timed their visit to country any better. The ancestors gave us blue skies, crystal clear waters and a month supply of fresh fish. Happy days. WYLD Projects Indigenous Corporation
