21.01.2022 We are pleased with the performance of this year’s ET calves which we recently brought home to wean from Jason and Geraldine Stowe, Yeralla Farm, Burekup. For three consecutive years the Stowe family have generously allowed us to program a number of their quality Angus recipients, which has supported us in developing our modern day breeding program.

19.01.2022 We are thrilled to be welcoming this stylish youngster into our herd! Yesterday we successfully purchased Lot 89, Texas Ashland Q029 for $42,000 at Texas Angus annual bull sale in NSW. Congratulations to Ben, Wendy and their team on an outstanding offering of 155 bulls which sold under the hammer to an average of $14,052. ... We are no strangers to Texas Angus genetics and strongly believe this impressive Ashland son will further strengthen our breeding program. Ashland Q029 attractive phenotype impresses us, as well his structural soundness, quiet temperament and low birthweight of +3.5, ideal for heifer joining. Q029 updated traits were released today and his ABI of 151% now puts him in the top 6% for the breed and all other indexes are in the top 10% or higher. He also records an impressive EMA of +10.7 (top 3%), a CWT of +79 (top 8%) and has plenty of shape and thickness to him. We look forward to bringing this outcross sire home and putting him straight to work!

11.01.2022 Yesterday we received a video from our trusted agent Delaney Livestock of our loyal client for more than 12 years, Owen Hopkins, HM & OE Hopkins, Busselton, who once again achieved some very pleasing results with his baby beef. Owen’s substantial draft of 88 eight to nine-month-old weaner steers, which were sold directly to and assessed at Semini Feedlot, Treeton, WA, achieved an average weighed of 377kg. The heaviest weighed in at 447kg, while 23 head weighed 400kg plus and ...24 head averaged between 360kg to 380kg. All calves came straight off their mothers at 8.30am and were weighed at 3pm. Congratulations Owen, they look fantastic and we look forward to hearing how they perform in the feedlot over the next 80 days.
