"Elena is a passionate tango dancer from Argentina, with over 8 years teaching experience. She started to dance tango in 2003 in Patagonia, then moved to Buenos Aires (the Capital of Tango) where she studied at the "University of Tango", "IUNA" (Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte) and had classes with Horacio Godoy, Chicho Frumboli, Gaston Torelli, Mariela Sametband, Noelia Hurtado, Carlos Rivarola, among others. Since 2008 she has been living in different countries of Europe, organizing Tango events and giving Tango lessons in Dublin, Lisbon, Berlin, and of course Buenos Aires. She masters both roles in tango, the "following" and the "leading" part, adapting herself to her partner changing from "open embrace" to "close embrace", moving from modern to traditional tango without loosing her own milonguero style (where improvisation and musicality is most important). As a dancer and performer, she give her heart with passion as she finds the music as her inspiration. As a teacher, she is delighted to have the opportunity for sharing her experiences, revealing the unwritten secrets of this wonderful dance."

20.01.2022 OK Keep it simple I have been invited to do a MALAMBO show at the CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL de TANGO ARGENTINO in Buenos Aires, Argentina.... CITA is one of the longest running and most prestigious Tango Festivals in the world. of course I Said YES!! so, Ill be away from teaching my favourite students ( at Robles) all of March. BUT we have put together a really really really cool program, with the best TANGO teachers in Melbourne while im away. 08.01.2022 Teaching is a lifestyle. These 400 children know where Buenos Aires is, they know the meaning and action of the cabeceo, they know that ocho means eight in Span...ish, and why the dance step ocho was named ocho !!!! they know Tango has ethical standards, and it's not just a dance but a musical expression and even though we may think that they will forget tomorrow, I am 100% sure that one day, when the time comes , they will remember!!!
