15.01.2022 In light of the current Covid-19 issue: To our patients and friends of Melbourne Periocare, In this uncertain time, the health and peace of mind for our patients, families and team members remains our highest priority. We are keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 information made available to us from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHS). ... The practice is functioning in accordance with the practice guidelines mandated by Federal and State government and by the Australian Dental Association (ADA) along with other affiliated associations. The practice will continue seeing patients, as scheduled. We have however, implemented the following amendments to our pre-existing best practice protocols. Based on current advice, we kindly ask the following of our patients to ensure that infection transmission risk is minimised: * Any person who is unwell refrains from attending the practice for a minimum of 14 days. * Any person who has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 avoids attending the practice for 14 days. * Any person who has recently travelled overseas avoids attending the practice for 14 days. Please phone us on 9817 1860 if you need to reschedule your appointment. * Help us minimise the amount of traffic within our clinic by limiting who you bring with you to the appointment. Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany patients to appointments. Other siblings and friends who do not have an appointment should not be brought to the practice. * To assist with social distancing recommendations, we have reduced the number of seats in our waiting area. You have the option to take a seat in the waiting area or return to your car and our nurses will collect you when it is time for Dr Kataria to see you. Please be sure to advise reception you have arrived for your appointment before returning to your car. * All patients are to use hand sanitiser provided at the front desk or wash hands prior to entering the surgeries. Hand soap and paper towel is provided for washing hands. We are assessing the situation daily and remain vigilant for the health and benefit of everyone in our community. We will let you know as the situation changes. We thank you for your support.
