18.01.2022 A Message regarding COVID-19. Temporary Closure of Jewel, Lake and Ngilgi Caves *If you have a booking during this period, the reservations team will be in con...tact with you. Today the Government announced new social distancing measures that come into effect immediately. For gatherings of fewer than 100 people in an enclosed space, the Government is now recommending four square metres per person. We welcome many visitors each year on guided tours of our crystal caves. Due to the nature of the guided tours, we are suspending tours at Lake, Jewel and Ngilgi Caves until it is safe to reopen. Nearby Mammoth Cave remains open for self-guided tours. Visitors will be asked to wash hands prior to entering Mammoth Cave, and to maintain ample space between themselves and other visitors. These are strange and unsettling times for everyone, but we look forward to re-opening all the caves and welcoming you back once it is safe. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact our team with any questions you might have, to process a refund or turn your ticket into a voucher for future enjoyment.

11.01.2022 The Prohibited Burning Period for our Shire has been extended by two weeks to the 29th March. This means that no fires are to be lit in the open air. The exte...nsion has been made due to the Soil Dryness Index remaining above average for this time of year and the forecast rain is not adequate to justify the opening of the season to allow burning with permits. 07.01.2022 Thanks for the great review Jane. Not able to share the original post, but there were comments querying if we have installed a dump point at the park. YES - it’s true, we have!

07.01.2022 Im sure youve heard me say it before - travelling around Western Australia is a world-class experience. From the unique landscapes of the Kimberley and Pilbar...a to the gourmet paradise of the South West, and everything in between, our State has so much to see and do. But, sadly, this just isnt the time for it. Weve made the extremely difficult and completely unprecedented decision to shut down travel between WAs regions. From midnight Tuesday, restrictions will be placed on travel within the entire State of Western Australia. Western Australians will not be permitted to leave their regional boundary. Its absolutely vital every Western Australian understands you cannot travel within WA. It must stop immediately. Police have the power to enforce these restrictions if necessary, and fines of up to $50,000 can be issued. To be clear, those are: the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Mid-West, Goldfields-Esperance, Wheatbelt, Great Southern and South West. Due to their proximity and interconnected nature, Perth and Peel will be treated as one region. The health and safety of people in regional Western Australia must be our priority. Exemptions will apply for, among other things, essential services and workers, including health and emergency services; people living in border communities, who may not have access to groceries or supplies within their region; employment purposes; medical reasons; transport of essential goods and some compassionate grounds. Additional restrictions to remote Aboriginal communities were announced by Aboriginal Affairs Minister Ben Wyatt this week, to provide extra protection to these vulnerable communities. If you are currently away from home - you need to come back. Now. If you were planning a trip - you cannot go. But I have one important request - dont cancel your bookings with our regional hotels, tours or other providers - postpone them instead. This wont last forever, so lets do what we can to make sure those businesses are still there once it is over. That next trip will just be so much sweeter.
