17.01.2022 So today my friend, who has worked with a lot of Cancer Patients as clients asked me a question. She wanted to know if I knew the seriousness of my diagnosis ..... because she had received my life expectancy data from my Specialist. She thought I must've not known due to my positivity and outlook on my situation.... My answer was and is, 100% knowledge since Day #1 I was officially diagnosed. BUT ... I choose not to live one single day as a victim and continue to live my life as I always have. 'To the best of my ability with appreciation of everything in my life.' As I head into the next step at the end of this month for 2x Fortnightly sessions of Chemo for 6months, I know that for every great story, there is also an equal amount of tragic stories .. I will not be a great story but neither will I be a tragic story, I will be MY STORY. I have never lived life trying to be average and I don't intend to start now. Stage 4 Cancer with 30% 3-4 year survival rate is NOT a death sentence. It's another challenge and obstacle that life has put in my way.' I will tackle this head on as I have done with everything in my life. With as much energy as I can give and the biggest smile you will ever see. Now, I want to send a BIG SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to everyone who has supported and donated to help Rebecca Vallejo-Manuelian and I on the fundraiser below. We are a dance school that aims to bring people of all walks of life together not just to dance, but to meet people, make new friends, create social circles, bond with their partners, friends and family as well as provide a space for many people who are looking for a temporary escape from the pressures of work etc With the closure of non essential businesses, social distancing laws and Isolation being enforced, it has brought LDA to halt and of course had to close our doors to public for the last 3 months. Along with this, our instructors have had to stop teaching with no certainty when we can get business back to normal. When his manager and him found o...ut I had cancer they reached out in an amazing show of support to me, so now its my turn to return the support. Due to COVID times are tough and whether a dancer or a singer, we are all in the same boat. Todays Bachata Hour will dedicated to his fundraiser below. Bachata Rosa - Jhonny Evidence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzWek8DHqB0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DOMINICAN BACHATA SINGER, JHONNY EVIDENCE WAS IN A BAD AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT SUNDAY EVENING On Sunday night, the young and talented Bachata singer from the Dominican Republic, Jhonny Evidence, was in a terrible car accident in La Altagracia Province. According to sources close to him, Jhonny is under medical observation due to several blows received when his vehicle slipped on the road, which caused him to hit a retaining wall. A friend of Johnny’s was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. We have tried to reach out to the young artist directly; however, due to his current medical state, it has been impossible. We have managed to speak to his Manager and representative, Derek Deler, about his current state but he was unable to provide updates until now. Jhonny’s family stated he was on the way to the recording studio to put final touches on his upcoming single, ‘Lejos Navidad’ when the accident occurred. His single is still scheduled to be released later this week. We feel very sad about what happened to this talented Bachata performer however, we are happy to know we still have him with us and after a speedy recovery that we wish him, he will be able to continue providing us with good music, like he always does. We are looking for any donation that can help Jhonny and his family with hospital bills and medications through this difficult time. Thank you
