18.01.2022 Erina Osteopathy a great place to reduce pain, improve joint movement and enhance your well-being.

09.01.2022 Spring is here so it is time to weed, plant, fertilise and mulch the garden. These actions are often repetitive and involve heavy lifting which can cause pain. To avoid injury here are my tips; 1;begin slowly and break down into small jobs 2.change position on a regular basis i.e sit, stand, kneel 3.when lifting, keep heavier objects close to your chest, bend the knees and brace the abdominal muscles... 4.use good, long handled garden tools to avoid bending too far forward. 05.01.2022 Erina Osteo Pat will run the Sydney Marathon this Sunday. Here is what what will probably be said in his head: Present: "geez i am nervous, i hope I have done enough long runs, is everything packed and ready to go?" 15 mins before race " ok this is cool, this is a buzz bring it on!" 1/2 way mark "that is way to quick ease up sunshine or there goes the PB" ... 30 ks " ok so now i have hit the rotten "wall", get a gel and relax" 37ks " running sucks, i hate #**#** marathons, this is my last one!" 42ks " no way have i got 200 mtrs left to run? They calculated it wrongly!" Finish line " i need a seat now!" 15 mins later: "When is the next race and how can i improve?" I really do like running! See more

04.01.2022 The Sydney City to Surf has just been run and 69000 people completed the 14k distance. Many of these people would have been wearing expensive orthotics or shoes to reduce over pronation of the foot (foot rolling inwards) on advice to reduce injury, but do they really need them? In my own understanding of running, biomechanics and anatomy etc it is often structural and muscular imbalances of the low back and pelvis that cause injury to the lower limbs. Get these issues sorted out by your osteopath and problems may resolve or not eventuate! Check this article out!
