25.01.2022 As we all no Victoria is going back into lockdown as of midnight tonight. We will be closed from this afternoon and at this stage will be back next Friday 4th June, anyone with bookings from Fridaytomorrow onwards will at this stage be canceled out, please feel free to send us a message to rebook you for when we are back to work, otherwise we will be in contact with each of you as soon as possible. Once again we just want to thank you for your ongoing support, this is very frustrating for everyone but all we can do is the right thing and hope we’re back to work as soon as possible. 22.01.2022 We just want to thank everyone who has helped us raise money for the CFA the last 2 days, we raised $1000 YAY!! we are so thankful we got the chance to donate this money to the firefighters that have done such an amazing job so far and continue to do so. We will still have our wildlife donations going until the end of January as we would love to raise just as much for them so you havnt missed out you can still donate if you’re wanting to. Once again thank you so much to everyone who supported us while supporting others

18.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for 2020 We would love to wish you all a very merry Christmas and we hope you all get to spend this Christmas with your loved ones. Thank you for the ongoing support over the past 12 months we could not of gotten through this year without each and everyone of you, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 16.01.2022 We hope your all keeping safe and well, staying home and social distancing as we all are at our end. We have had a lot of people asking us when we will be open again, as we ourselves are unsure at this stage as to when the salon will reopen we just want you all to no we will open again one day hopefully sooner rather than later but as for now we are still closed. My staff and myself are not prepared to start back up at work until we feel safe enough to do so, we work in a s...mall salon so we want to make sure we are doing the right thing at the right time and not rushing back into it. the health of everyone is the most important thing for us so reopening isn’t an easy choice but staying closed isn’t either. Keep an eye on our Facebook page as any updates regarding opening back up will be posted on here. We miss you all very much and we can’t wait to slowly get back into the swing of things. When we do reopen we have to follow a lot of strict guidelines so we would please ask everyone to be Patient when the time comes to booking your appointments. The guidelines we have to follow will also be posted on our Facebook so everyone can understand why we can’t run business as usual and why a lot of things we do have to change as well as what our clients would be needing to do when coming into the salon, but don’t worry we will get you all in for those well overdue hair cuts and colours! Due to the current virus pandemic that's spreading quicker than ever we feel that in our and your best interest we must join the country in trying to stop the spread of it. We would like to thank you for your loyalty and support over these passed few weeks as well as all those years, we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we are able to do so. 16.01.2022 Warning, Warning This Monday shampoo isn’t what it’s claiming to be! PLEASE DON’T USE THIS SHAMPOO! it is claiming to be SLS, paraben-free and all natural making us assume that is would be a high quality high end product. However, after seeing countless horror stories on all our hairdressing forums we have decided to do our own research and found that two of the main ingredients is silicone or in the scientific term Cyclmethicone or Dimethicone and alcohol. Silicone wi...ll coat the hair and make it look shiny but will cause long term build up and chemical reactions when colouring your hair and alcohol is very dehydrating. Other industry professionals have told us that they have been experiencing major chemical reactions to lightening products due to the silicone. Some examples of common reactions are: Foils swelling and puffing up Colour steaming and occasionally turing to liquid and leaking which in turn can lead to burns! Being rinsed early can leave yellow and brassy patches! Causing such bad damage that the hair is snapping off! *Images not ours*

09.01.2022 To all our beautiful clients, As I’m sure you have all heard we are back to stage 4 lockdown for the whole of Victoria from 12am tonight. Friday for 5 days, with great sadness we will be closed until Thursday 18th if nothing changes. All clients that are booked in for Saturday 13th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th at this stage you will not be able to come in to get your hair done as we have to shut the salon. Clients that are booked in for Thursday 18th if you don’t her...e from us your appt will go ahead so you can still come and get your hair done, if anything changes we will be in contact with you. These packs will help the people that have lost everything as well as the people fighting these fires so much more than you think, as well as raising money they also need simple everyday supplies. These are some of the packs they are asking for. Don’t forget if you want to donate for the wildlife we are raising money, you don’t need to be a client or you don’t even need to g...et your hair done, 100% of all money we raise is going straight to them. 08.01.2022 To all our clients, this is a scary time for all of us and with the stage one in place us salons are classified as an essential, personally we don’t think that should be the case but who are we to say....! For now we will stay open with a lot of changes in the salon until we can shut our doors for the safety of our clients but also ourselves and our families. Here are some of the changes we will be putting into place as of 9.00am today. ... -New wrap for every client wraps and towels will be washed every night -New comb and clips for every client Sink will be filled and refilled throughout the day for combs and clips to soak and be washed -Clipper heads will be washed/ soaked after every client & clippers cleaned. -scissors cleaned after every client as well as all equipment used. -front desk wiped clean throughout the day. -eft machine wiped clean after every use. -till wiped clean throughout the day. -not touching/ taking people bank cards to pay with eft machine. -wearing gloves when handling money. -gloves will be worn most of the day by staff as much as possible. -work station wiped down after every client. -only allowing 2 people waiting in the salon at a time 6-8people max including 2 staff so 4-6 clients in the salon at a time - 4 seated 2 waiting. -seating clients a chair space between each other, keeping the 1.5m rule in place in the salon at all times. -try to keep our older clients at one end and try keep them away from other clients. -every client to use hand sanitiser before starting a service/ entering the salon we are providing you with hand sanitiser. -staff to use our own pen and pencil for booking clients. -washing our hands before during and after every client, washing hands when coming back into the salon from outside. -all cups to be soaked after client use -refusing any sick clients/ rebooking them. -clients must have clean washed hair before service apparently it can live in the hair clients can wash it themselves before coming in or we can wash it for you. For those of you wondering why we are even still open, as a small business it’s hard enough to stay afloat without all of this but as we have been advised if we are to close our doors now we won’t be able to get any government assistance to pay our staff, bills or ourselves. as a salon is classified as an essential business as soon as we are told to close our down we will be. We will keep everyone updated on our Facebook page and our answering system will have our current salon hours and information you will need. Salon hours and days may change in the near future but we understand if you want or need to cancel your appt so if that is the case please call the salon on 52553955. 06.01.2022 To all our valued clients at the Ruby room, it is with a heavy heart to say that we will no longer be open for business as of 28/2/2020 this coming Saturday is our last day the health of our loved ones as well as ourselves and the community is more important than putting ourselves at risk for our hair. Any appointments from Tuesday 31st of March onwards will now be canceled until further notice. 05.01.2022 We finally have some good news, we have an opening date As of Thursday 11th of June we will be opening back up for business. Things will be a little different to start with, we have to follow a fair few guid lines to make sure everyone is safe and we are doing the right thing so we ask everyone to please be patient with us we will be doing our very best in making sure we see everyone as soon as possible. Phone bookings at this stage are a must we can only have a small am...ount of people in the salon at one time so if possible please call the salon or message us on Facebook to make an appointment for your hair 52553955. Due to some of the restrictions we won’t be answering the salon phone if we are with a client so please leave your name and number so we can call you back, call backs will either be at the start, middle or end of the day. We will be booking in as many people as possible but please understand we have a lot of people to catch up on so patience is key Kids cuts can only be done if the child is able to come in on there own and without a parent in the salon, the only reason this is in place is because the size of our shop only allows us a couple clients in at a time so keeping people out of the salon that are not having something done allows us to open that space for someone else to come in and have there hair done. Tuesday trims will be back but not at this stage in time.
