19.01.2022 What fun it was having all these guys on the bus singing from the Sealink terminal to the airport. I only realised afterwards I had a bus load of celebrities.

14.01.2022 Today let's explore Picnic Bay. First stop, the heritage listed Picnic Bay jetty, we love to reflect on all the memories made here when Picnic was the ultimate ...hub on the island and we look forward to seeing many more memories made in her shadows. 04.01.2022 Wallaman Falls... Captured perfectly in one spectacular image thanks to @darylcawthorne. The highest, single-drop waterfall (268m) in Australia, Wallaman F...alls is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, home to some of the oldest rainforests on earth and many endangered plants and animals. Definitely worth the trip to see for yourself! #hinchinbrookway #townsvilleshines #thisisqueensland #wallamanfalls

02.01.2022 The Boss entertaining celebrities, while the rest of us have to work!

02.01.2022 Wouldn't it be great if we all apply this to life.

02.01.2022 The Weekender. We’ve put together our favourite places and activities to give you a better idea how you could spend a day or the weekend on Maggie. One of the i...slands main hubs is Picnic Bay and that’s where you will find Cstay. Offering affordable island accomodation, this gem is located one street back from the Picnic Bay foreshore, restaurants and gardens. Towering palms provide shade over a cool salt water pool and bbq area, hire bikes are available and make exploring the area easy. Start your first day by heading towards Arcadia, the buses are a minute walk from Cstay and a 10 minute ride will have you at Geoffrey Bay, along this long stretch of beach you’ll find the friendly team at Pleasure Divers. Offering great access to the islands best shore dives and snorkelling sites, including the Moltke shipwreck and Geoffrey Bays famous clams. The team will help you get geared up with all your hire needs so you can spend more time in the water exploring. Don’t forget to buy a snorkel card before you hit the trail, your $5 donation for these cards supports the ongoing costs for maintenance of the trails. Cards can be recycled after use by leaving them in the drop box at the start of each trail. You’ve got your snorkel card so once you’ve snorkelled Geoffrey head towards the Nelly Bay snorkel trail allowing for a quick pit stop at Foodworks Nelly Bay to pick up some fresh produce and BBQ goods for a picnic on the Nelly Bay foreshore. Sit in the shade of towering palms, enjoy the playground and have a BBQ before snorkelling our second trail where you’ll discover corals and fish. If you’re staying for a few days Foodworks also offer online ordering and delivery before you arrive, so you can check in and start exploring immediately. On the way home detour by Fish’n and Fuel’n Outdoor Adventure centre and let them plan your next day on the Island, we’d suggest hiring some fishing gear and picking up some tackle for a morning of fishing. Chat to the local team and they’ll be able to give you a heads up on what bait to use and what you might catch. While you’re there book in for a Magnetic Island Jeep sunset tour to discover the Western side of the island. Grab your hired fishing gear and start the day on the beautiful Picnic Bay jetty, a favourite island past time and often a very rewarding one is jetty fishing. Spend the morning flicking a line, spotting wildlife and enjoying the view across to @townsvillenorthqueensland. Please remember the Jetty is in a yellow zone (Conservation Park Zone) and this might affect your fishing. It’s always great to fish on a higher tide and once it’s run out you may even catch a glimpse of George Rennie, an old paddle steamer who rests in the bay (on a super low tide you can walk out and around it). Finish the weekend with an incredible West Point sunset onboard Magnetic Jeep Tours, a unique stretch jeep will take you along the Western side of the island to a very rewarding sunset accompanied by nibbles, drinks, and complete serenity so you can dream of another unreal weekend on Maggie.
