25.01.2022 We have had to sadly cancel skiing due to the uncertain circumstances of Perth's covid situation, as well as the bad weather coming in this weekend. We'll be back down at the Deep Water Point in 2 weeks See you then!

22.01.2022 ~CELEBRATING 39 YEARS~ 39 years ago, Starski was founded by Brickie (John Skinner) and Colin Walker. Brickie and Colin saw many families and younger people wanting to get out and learn how to ski or improve their skills but noticed a lack of clubs or community groups offering this opportunity, so started one of their own! We are called STARSKI (named by Steve Haywood) because they were all novice skiers reaching for the stars. 39 years later we are still offering a space for... anyone to get out onto the water with many original members still in close contact. There have been many Starski children that have been born into the club environment as well as families having 3 generations of skiers that come away camping with us! The fun, friendship and shenanigans continue to this day and our hope is this continues into the future. Share your Starski stories and photos from the last 39 years with us in the comments! 18.01.2022 ~Reminder ~ Starski will have the boat down at Deep Water Point this SUNDAY {04/10/2020} from 11am. We will be down there as long as we have skiers so best to arrive as close to 11am as possible Check out the event for more details!

17.01.2022 WE ARE BACK! Starski Water Ski club will be starting up our winter skiing again from the weekend of August 22nd. Winter is the best time of year for skiing due to the quiet waterways and low winds- perfect for beginners! And dont worry, we have wetsuis available See yall there!

16.01.2022 Starski Waterski Club's response to Covid-19 Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, Starski will suspended all skiing and club events for both members and visitors. As a community group in these uncertain times, we need to look after one another and be responsible in reducing non essential public gatherings. Restrictions are changing every day so we are unable to provide a timeline on when we will return but we will let everybody know once we are back on the river skiing! Stay safe and self isolate!

12.01.2022 While Anzac day 2020 was very different from previous years, the Anzac spirit of mateship and integrity was felt as strong as ever with the flicker of candles throughout Australia and New Zealand as neighbourhoods stood together as one at 6am to remember. 08.01.2022 Here in WA, we are lucky enough to be in Phase 4 of easing restrictions, with Phase 5 proposed to start on August 29th. Though this means we are able to start community events again, we will still have precautions to keep members and visitors safe!

07.01.2022 Due to the unfavorable weather forecasted for both Saturday and Sunday, Starski will unfortunately have to cancel this weekends roster. Look out for future events as we will try and have the boat down on the Long Weekend! Stay dry

06.01.2022 Are you in Perth this weekend and have a hankering for a Bunnings sausage sizzle- you are in luck! Starski will be having our annual sausage sizzle fundraiser tomorrow at Bunnings BALCATTA from 8am-4pm. Come down and grab a snagger and come say hi!

06.01.2022 Happy Easter to all our members and visitors! As a club, we love getting away to ski and camp at inland lakes most long weekends, even making up our own long weekends. This has been an is an integral part of our club for the last 39 years and well be planning another trip as soon as it is deemed safe. Why dont you join us? Usually Id be posting a bunch of new photos after Easter Long Weekend but instead Ill share photos from 2019 Easter- when we were socially skiing not socially distancing.

06.01.2022 What a weekend! It was great to see so many members and visitors come down for a ski last Saturday arvo. During the warmer months, Starski will have a roster later in the afternoon and stay down for a communal meal. Join us next time and you might even be lucky enough to get a sunset like this!
