I have sat back this year and watched these silhouette associations, industry groups and union argue negitivity about the future of the Owner drivers and small transport businesses within Australia. While the safe... rates ball has been vigorously tossed around and eventually hit out of the park with the abolishment of the RSRT. TCS www.transportconsultancysolutions.com has stated that while it is impossible to argue that safe compliant operations of Owner Driver and all small businesses are dependent on financially viable business operations this can be achieved in a number of ways such as improved productivity, improved operational procedures and viable cost effective rates. TCS is against any form of price fixing including a minimum rate or the so called going rate currently accepted in the industry. The operational rate differs from operational and structural integrity of all businesses and can only fairly be based on each individual operators structure. The only effective method of invoicing for a service is to know the accurate cost to provide that service. TCS has been lobbying for the implementation of a National Charging System based on each independent operators accurately calculated cost structure that includes operating at the required safe, legally compliant standards. TCS challenges these industry groups, bodies, associations and unions to stop their never ending arguing which only achieves more disunity, distablisation and hardship for small operators. It is a shame that while there are a number of available options an advantages that can improve sections of the industry, they are being overlooked or not offered. Industry so called leaders seem to be at a loss of direction to take. They are scrambling to seek information from anyone or anybody that they can use solely for their advantage. 06.01.2022 TCS :Response to Natroad Warren Clark Natroad has spent much time and other people's money to continually appose any attempt to obtain improved remuneration for Owner Drivers and Small Road Transport Operators. Natroad has at all times taken a negative approach to any proposal put forward. At this point I wish to clarify TCS's view is that It does not support any form of fixed rates due to the fact that any form of price fixing is illegal for good reason including the curre...nt system now in place IE: sub contractors being told this is the going rate. TCS stance is that it is in favour of free enterprise where work should be invoiced taking into account accurate cost and allowing for proffit margine. In your recent post re - addrressing small business options was that Natroad believed a solution was to offer a training course on basic accountancy. Do you realise how lame that is as a solution to the depth of the issues faced by Owner Drivers and Small Businessess. Warren in this post you stated that your are in favour of sub contractors pricing their own services which is in line with the TCS solutions, the problem is that to my knowledge neither you Warren nor Natroad have ever put forward any method of how this could occur.
