25.01.2022 Strapping lad! Banks is an American Bully Breed. This breed is an up and comer. Docile, chill and loving personalities with hyper bully features makes them a great companion!

25.01.2022 Mossy always gets a few chips when we go out . She usually has a very healthy diet but occasionally gets a treat . She has a healthy weight of 20 kilograms for a Border Collie. ... Do you know your pets weight and whether it is appropriate for their size, breed and age?! For more information on weight and exercise tips for your pet please visit the website below. www.vetexpressmobilevet.com.au

24.01.2022 This pigeon (Columba livia domestica) sustained a brain injury after presumably flying into a window. He or she, (determining the sex of a pigeon requires a probe) was semi-conscious at presentation and semi-paralyzed. A full physical examination was done. Overall he or she seemed to be in good health. No broken bones or ruptured soft tissue, no bleeding and in good body condition. ... Pupillary light reflexes were diminished so I suspected a severe concussion. I decided to rest him or her in a box for 24 hours. This morning this pigeon flew away in search of food = a good outcome! Sometimes birds recover after knocking themselves out

22.01.2022 I love seeing healthy and happy pets for their yearly vaccination. If a dog/pet is obese or overweight, has poor dental health, is anxious or unkempt it is guaranteed to become unwell at some point in its lifetime. The ideal I strive for is to keep pets healthy 24/7.... Personally, the top tips for maximising lifespan and maintaining a thriving pet are : 1. A balanced, complete diet (natural/unprocessed). 2. Daily exercise and mental development 3. Grooming, bathing and dental care 4. Vaccination and worming plan

22.01.2022 Cats are very beautiful and majestic animals

20.01.2022 Successful venipuncture of a Guinea pig, any Guinea pig in fact gives me disproportionate feelings of joy and accomplishment! Note : the Guinea Pig is neither a pig or from Guinea, they are a species of rodent. Guinea pigs are precocious at birth meaning they are fully functional at a very young age - an evolutionary adaptation presumably to evade predators.

20.01.2022 My clients make me laugh everyday!

19.01.2022 My neighbour took a picture of my cat yawning .

19.01.2022 Pain in pets (signs to look out for) panting (constant and excessive poor energy (lethargic or quiet demeanor)... pacing (aimless, restless, circling) appetite (loss of or unusual) behaviour change ("not his/her usual self") In dogs, constant panting is a reliable indicator of pain. In cats, loss of appetite or poor grooming is usually evidence of pain. In herbivores, teeth grinding is a reliable sign in addition to the above. In birds, a loss of appetite and a fluffed up, lethargic appearance. 18.01.2022 Flea dirt : the presence of flea dirt will indicate a flea problem. It is rare to see a live flea on your pet as they are incredibly fast insects. A flea problem in pets is actually indicative of a flea problem in your home and garden. ... Bravecto is an excellent chewable treatment for external parasites. For natural home and garden solutions it is more complicated and for safety reasons it is best to arrange a personalised consultation.

16.01.2022 The European Red Fox (Vulpes Vulpes) was introduced several times in Australia during the 1830s. It is one of the most environmentally damaging invasive species along with the domestic cat, rabbit, goat, pig, camel, horse and cane toad. In addition, it is a synanthropic organism meaning it has evolved to live near to human settlements. Urban foxes are regularly found in suburban Perth. If you had a fox nearby you would probably never even know as they are incredibly stealt...hy hunters and scavengers. Have you seen any foxes in your local community?

11.01.2022 For all pet owners From my almost 10 years of veterinary experience I have found one of the most reliable early indicators for disease in pets is a sudden, drastic change in behaviour or personality. If you notice your pet being lethargic, out of breath, depressed or more/less anxious than usual, SEEK VETERINARY ADVICE IMMEDIATELY.... A phone call is FREE OF CHARGE. It may very well SAVE YOUR PETS LIFE. Call 0433915164 Email : [email protected] website : www.vetexpressmobilevet.com.au

09.01.2022 #vetlife Yesterday my hand disappeared for awhile. It was in the mouth of a large Rottweiler whom I had never met. It turned out the dog was just playing. His owner was shocked. Are you okay, what happened?! "He is just playing", I said casually. ... "The other day he did that to my friend and he sh*t himself! " the owner replied.

09.01.2022 The Lyrebird - an architect of the forest A truly amazing bird! Not only incredibly beautiful but able to mimick the calls of every bird in the forest. Two species exist in the genus Menura. The Superb Lyrebird and Alberts Lyrebird. ... Studies have shown that Lyrebirds foraging on the forest floor move 150 tonnes of soil per hectare per year. To put that into perspective, moles and gophers move between 10 and 20 tonnes of soil per hectare per year. Lyrebirds aerate and aid composting of the soil like no other animal on the planet! 05.01.2022 Odin is a Bull Arab / Mastiff Mix. Of all the puppies I see, Mastiff / Staffy mixes like Odin seem to make the cutest puppies! Bull Arabs are formidable hunting dogs. It is really important for them to be well trained and socialised from 8 weeks of age. ... Mastiffs are incredible guard dogs and are physically one of the strongest breeds on earth. Therefore, training and control needs to be attained at a young age. Odin is aptly named after the Norse God of War. Mastiffs have a history of being used in battle dating back to Roman times. Rest assured, Odin the puppys sole purpose in life will be as a loving family pet.
