11.01.2022 This is an overlay of a WWII photo of taxiways on Hoevet Field created by Bob Willis who lives on Wylandra Estate. In a post last year we told the story of how during WWII the USAAF built the airport in Mareeba and then housed their planes under the trees on Wylandra Estate (to protect them from aerial attack). The planes would then taxi out from under the trees and then on to the airport runways. Thanks for the overlay Bob. Nice Google Earth skills!!

Horse-riders, walkers, motorbike riders, runners and bike riders should be able to use this huge asset safely by showing respect to their fellow users and the residents along the trail.
