19.01.2022 LOCKDOWN TO BE RELAXED FROM FRIDAY Great news from the Premier that from Friday two adults, plus their children, will be able to visit households for small ...social gatherings. This is being done to reduce social isolation, and you can go and visit those over 70 or in at-risk categories (or they can come to you), just make sure you are feeling well and you continue to practice good hygiene. There are no distance restrictions on this, so you can go to other towns and cities to visit family and friends. But for now this does not mean you can go on a holiday. This is a great sign that our social distancing measures are working and we are slowing the spread of this virus. Please don't take risks at this time, if you feel unwell or have come in to contact with a known case of COVID-19 stay at home. This has been a tough period for so many and I want to thank everyone for adhering to social distancing. We should all be proud of our low transmission numbers. (Just remember, no parties for now )

17.01.2022 As you may be aware, Stick, our Club President, is voluntarily running our kitchen for a limited time. We are still looking for an experienced cook to take over the kitchen full time, which comes with a two bedroom house as part of the lease. In the meantime, we have a chance to relive some of Stick's fabulous cooking. His specials this evening will be an carbonara chicken and bacon pasta or lamb shanks.

16.01.2022 LATEST COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS The Premier and NSW Chief Medical Officer announced new COVID-19 restrictions a short time ago. Here's what is changing from nex...t Friday (24/7): At all indoor hospitality venues bookings will be restricted to groups no larger than 10. This includes pubs, restaurants, cafes, clubs. Funerals and places of worship are limited to 100 people Weddings are capped at 150 people You can still have up to 20 visitors to your home, but it is recommended you keep this number to 10. All venues must adhere to the 4sqm rule, so one person per 4sqm. Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Dr Kerry Chant have stressed the focus is to reduce mingling and making sure people stay apart in a COVID-safe way. The Premier has explained the difference in numbers at funerals and weddings is due to the way these services are conducted, with people more likely to be seated for the duration of a wedding, whereas funerals often move between the place of service and burial/cremation site. Here's what you can do: Keep practicing good hygiene by washing your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or by using hand sanitiser. If you have symptoms and live in the Western NSW Local Health District, call your local health service, your GP or the COVID-19 hotline on 1300 066 055. If you live in the Murrumbidgee LHD call the MLHD COVID-19 hotline on 1800 831 099 to speak with a nurse and find out if you should be tested. If you're feeling unwell, stay home. This is a rapidly changing situation but our priority is to keep our communities safe. Take care and look after one another. Sx

14.01.2022 BUILD THE DAMS: ONE STEP CLOSER - WYANGALA DAM EXPANSION The Wyangala Dam wall raising is one step closer with WaterSecure signed on to oversee the project.... This move means the Wyangala Dam wall-raising will be fast tracked and there will be shovels in the ground by October. This also means long term water security and the project's immediate employment and economic benefit will be brought forward at a crucial time for regional NSW. We have not seen this kind of water infrastructure build since the 1980’s and not only are we creating local jobs but we are increasing vital water security across this state and for me there’s nothing more important than that. This is an exciting day for the Lachlan Valley and this historic dam project. Sx
