25.01.2022 Over 150 people came along to celebrate and enjoy the 17 short films made by local Wellington film makers.



25.01.2022 Once again WERE BACK for another Wellington Youth Film Festival! Submissions are now open to young people aged 12-24 years who call Wellington Shire home. Submit your film before Sunday the 4th of October, 2020 to have your shot at your film being showcased on the big screen! More details of the when and the where of our gala event will be revealed on October 1st, so keep an eye out! To enter your film, complete an entry form at www.wellington.vic.gov.au/youth Finalists will be advised by Monday the 12th of October. For inquiries please contact [email protected]

18.01.2022 A Briagolong filmmaker and his crew are putting out a casting call for extras to be part of a documentary about the former railway line between Maffra and Briag...olong. Anyone with an interest in history or filmmaking, or just willing to be part of a grass roots community project, is invited to apply. Geoffrey Benton, retired policeman, truck driver and businesses owner turned writer, filmmaker and lover of all things creative, is producing the film with the help of a 16 like-minded locals and the Briagolong Community House. 12.01.2022 Huge congratulations to all film makers who had their films shared on the big screen last night - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed viewing them! 150+ people turned up last night to experience and celebrate the films on offer at the second Wellington Youth Film Festival. It was great to have our Wellington Shire Council Councillors, Wellington Shire Youth Council come along to support, as well as family, friends and community members. A big thanks to Rachael Lucas for her role as MC, and congratualtions to Chloe Nash for taking out the Peoples Choice Award. **If youd like to join the WYFF 2020 FReeZA Crew, get in touch! We are meeting for a debrief and early planning session next week.
