25.01.2022 School at home at Wynbrook Fdc.



25.01.2022 We ended up the term today with a Pajama day and cookies. As due to the new announcement, the kids wont be coming for some weeks. But we wanted to celebrate the last day. So there it was....PAJAMAS WITH NO DRAMAS AND SOME COOKIES TO END THE DAY....

24.01.2022 Developing motor skills. Beading and making bracelets is a great way to improve fine motor skills. Kids also become confident in making choices of different colors and designs involved in the process.

22.01.2022 All children have different methods to learn. My 3+ is very good at tracing and following dots. She is learning alphabets by tracing. She will soon be able to write the letters independently.



22.01.2022 SCHOOL AT HOME!!!! Practicing 100s table and using it to solve the puzzles later. Grade 1 maths.

21.01.2022 The puppet story. Kids are very creative and we need to give them an environment to enhance and develop their skills such as creativity and imagination. We made stick puppets last week and created our own stories. Here is one such story: I SPOTTED A SNAKE....

15.01.2022 Natural material collage. Kid were so excited to choose and pick some natural material from the garden and use them to make collage.

15.01.2022 Last week was fun. We connected to nature by planting the leftover Garlic and carrots. We will watch their progress in the coming weeks. We learned how nature is connected with us and is always surprising. We used the leftover orange peels to make a spider Web on our fingers. Watch the video in the other post.

14.01.2022 Everyday drawing practice. Good to see the progress from scribbles to making a face and doing controlled coloring.

14.01.2022 Little ones are doing their part to contribute to the nature. Watering all plants as usual. While all this is going, Agam is busy giving a cool bath to her baby toy. Children learn respecting and loving nature. Children learn role play and being responsible.

13.01.2022 Our long awaited visit to the park after the very hot days. We all make sure to hold hands specially of the younger ones when walking to the park. Lots of play and connection to nature today. We explored plants and looked for some natural elements in the park to collect. When asked, children said,"we are making a natural habitat for the animals with all these wood and rocks."

11.01.2022 Yesterdays post- Natural material art and craft. Children were encouraged to find their own natural materials and then use it to make their own art. Learning- Nature provides countless opportunities for discovery, creativity, problem-solving, and STEM education. Interacting with natural environments allows children to learn by doing and experiment with ideas. In nature, children think, question, and make hypotheses thereby developing inquisitive minds.

09.01.2022 My little ones continued learning on shapes. I include shapes in most of her activities she do. Today she wanted to play with playdough so we included shapes in that. She did it very well!!!

09.01.2022 Our Costume day so well last Friday. Kids were excited to wear their favourite dresses. We had a bday theme party which included musical chairs, fashion show and snack munching. This really cheered up the children during this time when they are not able to go out meet their froends and have a party. One of the parents said,"our child got up at 6 am asking when will she go to the day care wearing her new dress". Great day well spent.

08.01.2022 VISIT TO THE LIBRARY- both my girls were excited to visit the library. They chose the books themselves and sat down to read. Children made independent choices- like choosing the books themselves, choosing the activities they wanted to do. Learning:- Letting children make choices develop independence and confidence. Reading develops literacy skills.

08.01.2022 We used the leftover orange peels to make a spider web.

07.01.2022 Texture painting. We used Onion, carrot, apple, sponge etc. having different textures to do our paintings. Its sensory and very creative. Amazing to see different textures coming out from different things around us.

07.01.2022 AUSTRALIA DAY- After we made the australian animal puppets, we wanted to try drawing as many Australian animals we know. So here we go. We made Koala, owl, shark, tortise, Hedgehog, Giraffe and Echidna.

03.01.2022 Finally some play dough time. Kids love it at any age.

02.01.2022 Science surprise- we learned oil and water cant mix together as they both have different molecule properties. We mixed colors in the oil, put it in the water and watched how the colors dropped into seperating into different colors again. We loved doing this experiment.

01.01.2022 Holiday learning. Curriculum includes English, Maths and Science work. Todays lesson: working on spellings by sounds.

01.01.2022 Hurray .. after a 2 weeks wait, we saw the carrots and garlic shoots coming out. Children were so excited to see the result. They felt so connected to the nature as they had planted them themselves about 2 weeks ago.
